Time recording device. The invention relates to a time recording device, such as for example a chronometric device for recording the duration of the flight of carrier pigeons, this device being provided with a counter device for counting the number of recordings made, and arranged in a housing, the counter mechanism comprising a toothed wheel that at each recording a slide rotates, by degrees, an angle of constant magnitude.
A known device of this type has the drawback that the box can be opened easily, so that it is possible to cheat.
However, the object of the invention is to provide a device which immediately denounces such fraud.
To this end, an adjusting mechanism is provided according to the invention which moves the counter mechanism backwards when the housing is opened.
The appended drawing represents by way of nonlimiting example ire embodiment of the device according to the invention, the parts necessary for understanding the invention being alone represented.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic arrangement of the various parts of the device.
Fig: 2 is a plan view of a smoothing neck rod.
Fig. 3 shows the arrangement of a pressure button. Fig. 4 is a section through IV-IV in the, fig. 1.
In this drawing, 1 denotes a sliding rod, pushed in one direction by a spring 2. The rod 1 is provided with slots 4 traversed by screws 3 fixed inside the housing of the time recording device.
When the case is opened, a member 5 of the lock is moved in a known manner, in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. 2. This member 5 cooperates with a lateral edge of a slot 6 formed in the rod 1. This slot 6 is inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the rod 1, so that, when the member 5 is moves in the direction of the arrow, shown in fig. 2, the rod moves against the action of res sort 2.
The rod 1 also comprises a che town 7 which, during movement, can engage with the first arm 8 of a sector 9 pivots around an axis of rotation 10 (see FIGS. 1 and 4). The sector 9 is held by its hub 11 at a certain distance from the plate 12, to which the various parts of the device are fixed.
The sector 9 comprises teeth 13 meshing with the teeth of a toothed wheel 14. The toothed wheel 14 is rigidly fixed to a toothed wheel 15 bearing against the plate 12. The two toothed wheels 14 and 15 pivot around a shaft. 16. This shaft can be rotating and act as a needle shaft for a clockwork instrument not shown in the drawing: It is clear that, when the toothed wheels 14 and 15 turn, the sector 9 also turns. around the shaft 10, so that the arm 8 of the sector 9 also moves.
The rod 1 is held, by means of screws 3, applied against the plate 12, so as to be able to slide. If the rod 1 moves, the pin 7 can come into engagement with the arm 8, so that the two toothed wheels 14 and 15 turn back.
To limit the movement @du sector 9, therefore also of the two toothed wheels 14 and 15, two stops 17 respectively 18 have been provided at both ends of the toothed part of the sector .9, which at the start or at the end of the path traveled by the sector 9 can strike either the toothed wheel 14 or its axis of rotation 16. At the beginning of the movement of the two wheels 14 and 15, the stop 17 leaves, in this case, the wheel: toothed 14.
On the sector 9 can be arranged an ankle 19 cooperating with a graduation arranged above this ankle. In the initial position, when the stopper 17 bears against the toothed wheel 14, the pin 19 will indicate the zero of the graduation, after which, when the toothed wheels 14 and 15 rotate, the pin 19 moves along of the scale until it has reached the end of the scale, and the stopper 18 hits the toothed wheel 14.
Then the needle can be automatically reset to zero by opening the housing.
So that the pin 19 always indicates whole digits and therefore does not stop between two digits of its graduation, a jumper formed by an elastic member 20, provided at its end with a head 21 has been placed. has a shape such that, when it engages between two teeth of the toothed wheel 15, it will cause these two teeth to be placed in a certain position.
It is clear that when the toothed wheel 15 turns one tooth, the pin 19 must move from one number of its graduation to the next number. For this purpose, for example, the toothed wheel 15 may have the same number of teeth as the toothed wheel 14 and as the sector 9, so that, if the sector 9 has moved from the beginning to the end of its path, the two toothed wheels 14 and 15 have turned by one. tower.
It is, however, also possible to give the two wheels 14 and 15 a number of teeth greater than twice that of the sector 9, so that, if the sector 9 has moved the entire path, the two gears only rotated at an angle smaller than 180 instead of 360.
The partial rotation of the toothed wheel 15, on each recording, can be effected by means of a slide 22 which bears against the plate 12 so as to be able to move. For this purpose a slot 23 is made in the slide 22, this slot being crossed by a screw 24. Thanks to this position, the slide 22 can also rotate around the screw 24 during movement.
At the end of the slide 22 is formed a rounded notch 25, in which a corresponding part of a lever 26 engages. This lever 26 is rotatable about an axis of rotation 27 and can rotate under the action of 'iui pressure button 29 around this axis of rotation 27 (see fig. 1 and 3). The pressure button 29 is provided with an ankle 28 against which, in the rest position, the lever 27 presses; if pressure is exerted on the button 29, the lever moves outward, because the frustoconical part 30 of the pressure button pushes the lever back.
If this part 30 has passed the lever, the latter no longer moves outwards, because the hand holding the part of the larger diameter of the pressure button is engaged with the lever. If one stops exerting pressure on the button, a spring 31 returns said button to the initial position. The pressure button is activated for each recording.
