Timepiece. The present invention relates to a timepiece in which the winder comprises a ratchet controlled by a pawl carried by an oscillating lever.
This timepiece is characterized by the fact that this lever is itself controlled by a rod articulated on it by one of its ends and sliding in a guide piece on which the winding member of the timepiece prints. a back-and-forth movement, a coil spring being mounted on this rod and bearing, on the one hand, on the end of the guide piece and, on the other hand, on a shoulder of the rod , so that the movements of the guide piece in the winding direction are transmitted to the rod and, thereby, to the rocker by means of said spring,
which is intended to yield when the tension of the spring of the barrel reaches a determined value, so that the ratchet remains stationary even though the movements of the guide piece continue.
The accompanying drawing represents, to. by way of example, one embodiment of the object (the invention.
Fig. 1 is a section along I-I of the fi ;;. 2, and fig. 2 is a plan view of a timepiece with partial section along II-II of FIG. 1.
The timepiece shown is a watch for an automobile intended to be fixed to a steering wheel and in which the rotation of the steering wheel, which constitutes the winding member of this watch, produces the winding of the barrel spring by turning a wheel. 1 being part of the winder.
This wheel 1 is integral with a hub 2 pivoted in an additional bridge 3 and in which an eccentric journal 4 can rotate relative to the axis of the hub and constituting the crank pin of a level on which the lug 5a is articulated. a tubular sleeve 5 constituting the guide member of a rod 6; the bottom 5b of the sleeve 5 is drilled to provide passage for the rod 6, one end of which carries a piston 7 sliding inside the sleeve 5.
The other end of the rod 6 is screwed at 8 in the middle part of a part in [J 9 between the two branches of which is articulated at 10 an oscillating lever 11. The latter is integral with a barrel 12 rotating around a sleeve 13 fixed by a screw 14 on a square 15a formed at the end of a shaft 15 rotating between the plate 16 of the movement and the barrel bridge 17. A ratchet 18 is also mounted on the square 15a of the shaft 15, between the bridge 17 and the sleeve. 13. Moreover, the shaft 15 is integral with a wheel 19 driving the barrel ratchet 20. The barrel is designated by 21.
The rocker 11 carries, screwed onto it at 22, an elastic blade 23 constituting a pawl engaged in the teeth of the rock 18. The latter is prevented from moving back by two elastic blades 24 and 25 fixed to the frame at 26 and slightly offset. 'one relative to the other, so that after a displacement of half a tooth the ratchet 18 is. already retained. A rubber pad 27, placed between the elastic blades 24 and <B> '225, </B> prevents them from vibrating and thus reduces the noise of the snap-fastening.
-A first spring. 28 is mounted on the rod 6, inside the sleeve 5, and is supported, on the one hand, on the piston 7, forming a shoulder, on the other hand, on the bottom 5b of the sleeve 5, while that a second spring 29 is mounted on the rod 6, at]. 'outside the sleeve .5, and bears, on the one hand, on the part forming a shoulder 9, on the other hand, on the bottom 5b of socket 5.
Thanks to these two springs, the back and forth movement of the sleeve 5, imparted to it by the crank pin 4 of the crank, is transmitted to the rod 6 and, via the part 9, to the rocker < B> 11. </B> When the latter moves in the direction of arrow 30, the pawl 23 drives the ratchet 18, which produces the re-assembly of the barrel spring, while when the lever 11 moves in the other direction, that is to say during its return movement, the pawl 23 jumps on the teeth of the ratchet. 18. The active movement of the lever 11 is therefore effected by means of the res out 28, while its return movement is effected by means of the spring 29.
When the tension of the barrel spring reaches a determined value, the movements of the crank can continue, but are no longer transmitted to the lever 11, the spring 28 yielding and compressing between the piston 7 and the bottom 5b of the sleeve. This position prevents overvoltage of the mainspring; it also has the advantage of very quiet operation.
