Self-winding wristwatch. The present invention relates to a wristwatch with automatic winding. This wristwatch is characterized by the fact. that the rotating mass of the automatic winding mechanism is simultaneously connected to two independent barrel shafts by means of two gear trains, with a flag such that, when the mass rotates in one direction, it winds the spring of a barrel and when it turns in the opposite direction, it winds the spring of the other barrel.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the movement of a wristwatch.
Fig. 2 is a section along II-II of FIG. 1, on an enlarged scale, and FIG. 3 is a plan view of a detail of FIG. 1. on an even larger scale. The movement shown comprises two barrels designated by 1 and by 2. The barrel 1 encloses the driving spring of the watch movement, while the barrel 2 encloses a driving spring of an alarm mechanism triggered by the movement of the watch.
The automatic winding is carried out by a mass 3 pivoted at the center of the movement on a shaft 4 rotating in bridges 5 and 6 and on which it is mounted in a square shape at 4a; the mass is held in place by a screw 7. The shaft 4 carries a pinion 8 meshing with two wheels 9 and 10 respectively forming part of the winding train of the spring of the barrel 1 and of the spring of the barrel 2. The wheel 9 rests on a net 6a of deck 6; she climbed madly on a tree _11 carrying a pin 12 and to which is riveted an elastic washer 13.
This washer has three arms in the shape of an arc 13a, the ends of which are bent at 13v and resiliently apply to the upper face of the wheel 9. The latter has five openings 14, one face 15 of which is radial and the other face of which , 16, is directed along a chord. The ends 13 "of the arms 131 enter the openings 14 and abut against the fairings 15 when the wheel 9 rotates in the direction of the arrow 17 (FIG. 3): the washer 13 is thus driven in the same direction.
On the other hand, when the wheel 9 turns in the other direction, the ends 13 "of the arms 13a slide on the upper edge of the faces 16 of the openings 14 and the washer 13 is not driven. This arrangement thus constitutes a Breguet coupling. It should be noted that, thanks to the number of openings 14 which does not equal that of the arms 13a, an offset occurs between these latter and the openings, thanks to which the arms 13a are successively brought to cooperate with the faces 15 of the openings 14, which reduces the relative angular displacement between the wheel 9 and the washer 13 necessary for the snap-fastening to take place.
The wheel 10, resting on a 6 "thread of the bridge 6, drives a ron delle 18 by a Breguet coupling absolutely identical to that of the wheel 9, but acting in the opposite direction. The washer 18 is integral with a pinion 19 The pinion 12 drives the ratchet 20 mounted on the shaft of the barrel 1 while the pinion 19 drives the ratchet 21 mounted on the shaft of the barrel 2.
When the mass turns in one direction, it is the winding of one of the springs that occurs, while when it turns in the other direction, the other spring is re-assembled.
The spring of the cylinder 1 commander. the movement of the watch can also be wound by means of a manual winder comprising a crown 22, a stem 23, a winding pinion and a crown wheel (fig. 1).
In the example described, the second mechanism is a wake-up mechanism. The invention could be applied in the case where the second mechanism would be different and would serve, for example, to actuate an automatic device arranged on the dial. The second mechanism could also consist of a second watch movement in the case, for example, of a watch with two independent movements. We could also provide for the case where the two springs would control the movement of the watch, each of them developing only half of the total force necessary for the operation of this movement, which makes it possible to reduce the moment of inertia of the watch. mass.
