Montre.
Watch. The present invention relates to a watch comprising a manual winding mechanism and an automatic winding mechanism. In watches of this type, it is advantageous to disengage, during automatic winding, part of the transmission wheels of the hand-winding mechanism, in order to avoid any dissipation of force.
The present invention is aimed precisely at this object and relates to a watch of the aforementioned type which is characterized in that one of the wheels of the hand-winding mechanism is mounted on a lever whose movement is limited in one direction by a stopper. fixed and in the other by the resistance of a spring, the whole in such a way that when winding the watch by hand, said lever occupies a position for which said wheel drives the barrel ratchet, while when the mon To be wound up by means of the automatic winding mechanism, said lever assumes a position for which said wheel is not driven by the ball ratchet.
The accompanying drawing represents, to. by way of example, an embodiment of the watch according to the invention.
The single figure is a plan view thereof and only represents what is necessary for an understanding of the invention.
Referring to the drawing, at 1. we see the winding pinion which is connected in a known manner and not shown with the winding stem. Pinion 1 meshes with crown wheel 2 mounted idly on a screw 3 also acting as a pivot for a rocker 4 capable of performing an oscillating movement. The rocker 4 carries a tenon 5 on which is mounted a loose wheel 6 constantly engaged with the crown wheel 2.
A wheel 7 pivoted in the bridge 8 is integral with a pinion 9 meshing with the barrel ratchet 10. A stopper 11, cooperating with the spring 12, acts on the ratchet 10. On the other hand, a spring 13 terminating in a nose 14 engaged in the teeth of the crown 2, cooperates with a pin 15 inserted in the plate and also acts as a pawl.
The lever 4 has a nose 16 that a spring 17, held in 18 and housed in a recess 19 of the bridge 8, tends to press against a shoulder 20 of said. deck 8.
In the position shown in the drawing, the rocker 4 occupies a position such that its nose 16 touches the shoulder 20 of the bridge 8; in this position of the rocker, the wheel 6 is engaged with the wheel 7.
The operation of the watch described is as follows Let us first suppose that the watch is wound by means of the hand-winding mechanism. We turn the winding stem which drives the crown wheel 2, through the pinion 1, in the direction of arrow A, so that wheel 6 turns in the direction of arrow B. The force exerted by the crown wheel 2 on the wheel 6, on the one hand, and the resistance exerted by the wheel 7 on the wheel 6, on the other hand, add to the force of the spring 17 and support the nose 16 of the Tilt 4 against the shoulder 20 of the bridge 8. The wheel 7 is therefore engaged with the wheel 6 and transmits. winding force to its pinion 9, then to the barrel ratchet 1.0, which turns in the direction of arrow C.
If, now, the watch is wound by means of the automatic winding mechanism (not shown), the ratchet 10 is driven in the direction of arrow C and then plays the role of the driving element. The wheel 10 rotates the pinion 9 and the wheel 7 in the direction of the arrow D, so that the wheel 7 exerts on the wheel 6, therefore on the rocker 4, a force tending to make the said rocker turn. clockwise. On the other hand, the resistance that the crown wheel 2 exerts on the wheel 6 is added to the previous force.
It suffices to choose the elasticity of the spring 17 so that the two aforementioned forces overcome its effect, and the lever 4 will effectively rotate clockwise around the. screw 3, so that the wheel 6 will be in mesh with the wheel 7 and the desired release will take place.
When the cog of the re-assembly mechanisms is. at rest, the latch -1 normally occupies the position for which the nose 16 touches the shoulder 20 of the bridge 8.
