Pompe hydraulique.
Hydraulic pump. The present invention relates to a hydraulic pump comprising a disc mounted for rotation on a crank pin integral with a drive shaft of the pump and whose axis is inclined relative to the axis of this shaft and intersects this axis, and pistons whose axes are parallel to the axis of the pump shaft and whose ends are.
thrust axially against the face of the disc, so that a reciprocating movement is imparted to these pistons by the disc which by the friction of the ends of the pistons against its face is prevented from rotating with the crankpin around the axis of the pump shaft.
The object of the invention is to reduce, as far as possible, the slip which occurs at the points of contact between the pis tons and the disc actuating the latter.
The pump according to the invention is characterized for this purpose in that the working face of the disc is in a plane passing through the point of intersection of the axis of the pump shaft and the axis of the crankpin, and in that the udders are arranged so as to be able to rotate on their axes in their cylinders under the influence of the movement of the disc, the whole being arranged so that the relative movement between the working face of the disc and said ends of the pistons is mainly a rolling motion.
The; The drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the pump according to the invention. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a cross section following IV-IV, fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is also a transverse section along V -V, fig. 1.
Fig. 4 is a partial section along VI-VI of FIG. 2.
Fig. 5 is a partial section along VII-VII, fig. 2.
Fig. 6 is a diagram showing the arrangement of each of the pistons of this embodiment relative to the actuator disc.
The #ig. 7 is a longitudinal section showing the second embodiment of the pump.
Finally, Figs. 8 and 9 show, on a larger scale, each a variant of the udders of these embodiments.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the pump comprises a drive shaft 1 having, from manufacture, a crank pin 2 whose axis is inclined with respect to the axis of the shaft 1 and intersects the latter, and a disc d 'actuation 3 coaxial with crankpin 2.
This pump further comprises six pis tons, namely three pistons 4a of relatively small diameter and three pistons 4b of relatively large diameter. These pistons, whose axes are parallel to that of shaft 1, are arranged alternately around this axis and at the same distance from this axis, as can be seen in FIG. 3. The pistons 4a move in the cylinders 8a and the udders 4b in the cylinders Sb, all of these cylinders each comprising a part formed by a bore made in the cylinder block 9.
Each piston is biased by -lui spring 5, so that one end 6 of the piston is. kept in contact with the working face of the disc 3.
The liquid reaches the cylinders through a common intake opening 10 formed in a cover 24, but the cylinders 8a deliver the liquid to an exhaust 11 at high pressure, while the cylinders 8b deliver to an exhaust 12 at low pressure. The intake opening 10 opens into the chamber 13 at the rear end of the cylinder block 9, which is the phis remote from the actuating disc 3.
All the cylinders are supplied by this chamber 13 via valves 14a, 14b with conical head which move in the longitudinal direction of the cylinders and control the intake openings located at the ends of the cylinders furthest from the disc 3 The pistons 4a and 4b, when they reach the inner end of their stroke, come very close to the heads of their inlet valves.
Into the cylinders open discharge channels 15a, 15b respectively, extending radially from the cylinders dres and hence from points located near the heads of the intake valves.
To prevent the pistons 4a and 4b from closing the delivery channels 15a, 15b, the cylinders have, at their end close to the valve heads, an eccentric widening which can be seen at 16a, 16b (fig. 1 and 2), so that there is always a slight clearance on the piston side from which the discharge channel 15a or 15b extends. As can be seen in FIG. 2, these widenings are tangent to the anterior parts of the bores of the cylinders on the side opposite to the delivery channels 15a,
15b. The intake valves 14a, 14b are: coaxial with the eccentric enlargements 16a, 16b of the cylinders. The delivery channels 15a communicate, by means of ball check valves 17, with cavities 18a made in the. periphery of the cylinder block 9 and in which these balls are housed. These three cavities 18a communicate with each other downstream from the balls 17 by means of channels 20 formed in the cylinder block 9, these channels meeting at the center.
One of the three cavities 18c also communicates with the delivery duct 11 common to the three cylinders 8a via channels 19.
The delivery channels 15b communicate in a similar manner by the intermediary of ball check valves 17 with cavities 18b formed in the periphery of the block 9 and housing these balls. These cavities 18b communicate with each other, downstream of the balls 17, by means of channels 21 which meet together in the. central area of the block. 9. A central duct 22 of the block 9 starts from the junction point of the channels 21 and opens out through the end of the block 9 furthest from the disc 3.
This duct 22 communicates directly with the pressure discharge connection 12. If all the cylinders had to be delivered to a single outlet, all the cavities 18a, 18b could be made to communicate with the central duct 22.
The actuating disc 3 and its associated members are enclosed in a housing constituted by a bell-shaped casting 23 bolted to the block 9, by means of bolts 25.
The control shaft 1 is carried by a ball bearing 26, acting at the same time as an axial stop, mounted in the front wall of the part 23. The combined counterweight 7a, 7b ensuring the dynamic balance of the pump is keyed on the drive shaft 1 and abuts against a shoulder 27 of this shaft. The front face of the combined counterweight is in contact with the inner ring 28 of the ball bearing 26, the outer ring 29 of which abuts against a shoulder 30 of the front wall of the molded part 23. Thus, the ball bearing 26 can. absorb the thrust of the shaft 1.
To increase stability, a journal 31 extends from the end of the crankpin in the extension of the drive shaft 1, this journal being supported by a roller bearing 32 housed in a cavity formed in the face. front of the cylinder block 9.
The actuating disc 3 has a flange 3a directed towards the front near its periphery as well as a hub 3b extending towards the rear, beyond the plane of the working face of this disc and surrounding with the crankpin 2 minimum play. A ball bearing 33 est. disposed between the collar 3u and the crankpin 2, while a roller bearing 34 is mounted in the hub 3b between the latter and the crankpin. The inner ring 35 of the ball bearing 33 bears, by its front face, against a shoulder 36 of the ma neton 2, while a shoulder 37 of the actuating disc abuts against the outer ring 38 of the same bearing, so that that -ci absorbs the end thrust which applies to the actuating disc.
Bushes 39a, 39b are screwed into block 9 which are coaxial with the bores of this block forming part of cylinders 8a, 8b. The internal bores of these bushings, in which the pistons slide, constitute extensions of the bores made in the block 9 and with them form the cylinders 8a, 8b, The bushes 39a and 39b protrude on the block 9 on the side of the disc 3, key so that the pistons are supported over a considerable length.
The springs 5 urging the pistons entou rent the bushings 39a and 39b and are compressed between the front face of the cylinder block and the discs 40 mounted on the pistons.
The seats 41 and the guides 42 of the valves 14a and 14b are made separately. To accommodate these valve seats and guides, the block 9 is drilled and tapped in its face remote from the disc 3, coaxially with the enlargements 16a or 16b of each cylinder up to these enlargements, which can be clearly seen in the drawing. . The seats 41 are introduced first into the cavities thus formed and then the guides 42 are screwed therein, which keeps the seats in place.
The cavities 18a, 18b formed in the periphery of the block 9 and to which the delivery channels 15a, 15b end are closed by threaded plugs 43. The springs 44 which hold the balls 17 against their seats are housed in cavities made in these caps (fig. 2).
The stopper 43 shown in FIG. 4 closes one of the cavities 18a. This plug has the common delivery duct 11 of the three cylinders 8a. This duct 11 extends coaxially over a certain length inside the outer end of this stopper and is connected to the corresponding cavity 18a by means of passages 19 which start from the duct 11 and pass through the stopper. , around the res sort 44 and the ball 17.
The pressure discharge connection 12 consists of a tube 45 coaxial with the block 9 and passing through the wall of the cover 24 without play; this tube 45 is screwed into the rear face of the unit 9 and communicates with the central duct 22.
To reduce the forces of inertia, the larger diameter udders 4b can be hollow.
The plane of the face of the actuating disc 3 passes through the point of intersection of the axis of the drive shaft 1 and the axis of the crankpin 2, as shown in phantom in fig. 1. The ends 6 of the pistons 4a and 4b which cooperate with the face of the disc 3 are spherical, the center of the spherical cap of the head of the pistons being on the axis of each piston. The disc 3 turns freely on the crankpin 2 and each piston can also turn freely in its cylinder, each rotational movement of a piston from a neutral position tensioning the corresponding spring 5.
To explain the relative movement of the actuating disc 3 with respect to the udders 4a and 4b, the simplest way is to assume that the drive shaft 1 and the crankpin 2 are fixed and that one makes turn the cylinder block as well as the pistons 4a and 4b around the axis of the shaft 1. It is obvious that. the relative movement obtained in this way is the same as - if the drive shaft 1 is rotated, the cylinder block remaining fixed.
Fig. 6 was made based on the above assumption and indicates; in an end view, a single end of piston 6 in eight different positions around the x axis of the drive shaft 1.
The top position, in this figure, corresponds to the outside dead center of the piston, that is to say the position la -phis to the left of the pis ton (fig. 1), and the point o represents the point of intersection. with the surface of the actuating disc of the piston pin when the latter is in this position. The point of contact between the end 6 of the piston and the surface of the actuating disc is indicated by the small hatched circle p and lies vertically below the axis of the piston at a distance which is in function. radius of the piston head.
When the piston rotates around the x axis (for example clockwise) and passes successively through the eight positions shown, the axis of. piston moves on a cylinder represented in projection by the circle in solid line. The friction between the pistons and the actuating disk drives the latter around the axis of the crank 2 at the same angular speed as the cylinder block, and the point o (which can be considered as a mark on the face of the disc) moves on a path represented by the ellipse in dotted line.
The horizontal distance d from the axis of the piston to the point o for any position of the piston varies from zero value for position 0 = 0 to a maximum for positions 0 = 90 and 270. However, under the assumed conditions, the inclination of the actuating disc relative to the shaft 1 remains constant and the contact point p remains below the piston and on the vertical of its axis. Thus, the segment d joining the axis of the piston at the point o is always perpendicular to the radius which joins the axis of the piston at the point of contact.
Therefore, this relative movement, assuming the friction prevents sliding between the disc and the piston, simply rotates the piston in its cylinder by angle α. It follows that the relative movement of the working face of the actuator disc with respect to the surface of the end of the piston, which movement results from the difference between the circular path of the piston axis and the elliptical path followed by the point o, est. a weak angular oscillation around the contact point p, the oscillation angle being counted from the position indicated at the top of the figure and designated by a. The piston oscillates slightly, in its cylinder.
As this relative oscillation occurs, the point of contact p continuously moves around the spherical surface of the end of the piston by a rolling action between the two contacting surfaces. The angle measured from the center o of the piston between the radius passing through point p and the radius passing through the x axis is denoted by 1! and it is approximately equal to the angle O, whose piston itself has rotated around the x axis.
The relative oscillating motion a is so small compared to the rolling motion y that it is absorbed by the elastic deformations of the material, as in the case of a ball bearing having curved raceways and, in definite tive , it can be assumed that the relative movement between the face of the actuating disc and the end of the piston is practically a pure bearing, the slip being minimal. Therefore, this movement practically does not cause wear.
In addition to the oscillating movement of the piston in its cylinder, there is a slight continuous rotation to compensate for the length difference between the contact circumference of the spherical head of the udder and the corresponding contact line on the surface. plane of the actuating disc. This is achieved by a low relative rotation between piston and spring which occurs at the end of each stroke, when the spring tension is weakest.
Referring again to fig. 1 and that we take the hypothesis in accordance with reality that the drive shaft 1 rotates while the cylinder body is fixed, it will be understood that the drive disc 3 is set in motion by crankpin 2, but cannot turn with it because of its contact with the pistons. The movement of any point can be divided into two components, one being a rotational movement in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the shaft 1, the other an alternating movement parallel to this shaft. .
Now, the sum of the centrifugal forces due to the rotation of all the individual points which make up the actuating disc add up to form a resulting centrifugal force Cl. The inertia forces due to the reciprocating motion applied to the same points, added to the inertia loads due to the springs 5 and the reciprocating movements of the pistons are also added to form a couple.
The resulting centrifugal force C, and this resulting torque are both in the plane of the axes of shaft 1 and crankpin 2; therefore, both can be balanced by the centrifugal forces caused by two counterweights 7a and 7b rigidly connected to the actuating disk. The centrifugal force C3, due to the counterweight 7a, a.
a direction opposite to the centrifugal force C, due to the actuating disc 3 and its associated members, while the centrifugal force C4, due to the counterweight 7b, has the same direction as the centrifugal force C ,. The force C3 is equal to the sum of the forces C1 and C4, and the three forces C3, C4 and C, taken together produce a torque equal and opposite to the resulting torque.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the components corresponding to those represented in the preceding figures have been designated by the same numbers and letters of reference. The differences which exist between the arrangement of FIG. 7 and those of Figs. 1 to 5 are as follows: Instead of the resulting centrifugal force and the resulting torque being balanced by the centrifugal force exerted by the two counterweights 7a and 7b, they are balanced by the centrifugal force Cz due to an iniquitous counterweight 7.
The centrifugal force C2 is equal and diametrically opposed to the centrifugal force C1, but offset axially with respect to the latter by a distance such that the two centrifugal forces create a torque equal and opposite to the resulting torque. The reason why two counterweights are used in the case of fig. 1 is that in this construction it is not possible to axially displace a single counterweight sufficiently to neutralize the resulting neck.
Thus, the displacement of the force C3 (fig. 1) with respect to the force Cl is not as great as that of the force C :; (fig. 7) which. is equal to the force Cl with which it produces a torque of the same value as that produced by the three forces C3, C4 and C, (fig. 1).
The pistons 4 and the cylinders 8, as well as their eccentric enlargements 16, all have the same size and all flow towards a common outlet. This is analogous to the outlet 11 of FIG. 2 and is not visible in fig. 7. As a result, the sockets 39 are identical to each other.
The actuating disc 3, instead of being carried by a ball bearing and by a roller or needle bearing is mounted on the crank pin 2, which is located in a cantilever manner at the end of the drive shaft 1 of the pump, by means of two ball bearings. The ball bearing 33, which is arranged between the flange 3a of the disc 3 and the crank pin, is similar to that designated in the same way in FIG. 1, and absorbs the thrust at the end. The second ball bearing 46 is of smaller dimensions.
The two ball bearings are arranged with sufficient axial spacing to provide stable support for the actuator disc.
The crankpin being cantilevered, the shaft 1 is carried by two spaced ball bearings 26 and 47 arranged on the same side of the crankpin. The bearings 26 and 47 are mounted in a part 48 bolted to the part 23 using bolts 49. It can be seen that the ball bearing 26 absorbs the axial thrust in the same way as the ball bearing 26 of FIG. 1.
The single counterweight 7 is housed between the inner ring 35 of the bearing 33 and the shoulder 36, while the shoulder 27 bears directly against the inner ring 28 of the bearing 26.
In the embodiments described, instead of the pistons each having a spherical end 6 coming into contact with the face of the actuating disc 3, they could each have an end 6a whose surface, as seen in the figure. fig. 8, is sphero-conical, or else an end 6b whose surface is frustoconical. In the first case, the contact zone p of FIG. 6 is slightly elongated in the radial direction. piston, and in the second case, this contact zone elongates more in the same direction.
Obviously, this does not affect the explanations given with reference to FIG. 6.
