<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
travers.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

The present invention relates to a valveless piston pump, with a rotary cylinder block, in the radial cylinder of which communicating with a distribution level, slides a double-acting piston.
In most of these pumps, the piston is actuated by a cross guide mechanism, the piston being guided transversely to the direction of its stroke by a guide member rotating eccentrically with respect to the cylinder block. This transverse guiding of the piston is done, in known constructions, by means of a slide journaled eccentrically and sliding in the piston itself. This construction has considerable drawbacks.
The length of the guide surfaces is limited to the relatively small diameter of the piston, so that great precision is required so that the transverse guide of the piston does not take place.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
through. In addition, the length of the piston must be increased by at least the height of the slide, and the diameter of the cylinder block must have corresponding dimensions. Another consequence of this is that the level of distribution, which usually corresponds to the diameter of the cylinder block, becomes very large and can hardly be sealed at high pressures.
According to the present invention, these drawbacks of known cross-guided pumps are avoided by providing transverse guidance of the piston by means of a slide rigidly connected to the piston, projecting laterally from the cylinder block, and guided in an eccentrically rotating slide next to the cylinder block. This makes it possible to have very short pistons and cylinder blocks of small diameter. In addition, the slide can be guided in a long slide which is not limited to the diameter of the piston.
These possibilities are particularly important when it is desired to obtain high pressures with the pump, since it is much easier to obtain the seal with small diameters. According to the invention, the seal can be obtained even more simply by placing the distribution level in the bearing of the pump body and by providing communication ducts in the cylinder block which, on the one hand, open into the pump body. the cylinder and on the other hand in the cylinder block journal.
In one embodiment of the invention it is possible, with the aid of the same slide, to connect to the first piston a second piston mounted symmetrically and sliding in a second rotary cylinder block. A symmetrical pump is thus obtained in which the appearance of overturning forces and torques is avoided.
The slide is advantageously produced in the form of a third piston perpendicular to the other two, which slides in an eccentrically adjustable rotary guide element.
In a particularly advantageous variant, the two pistons are not connected to a common slide, but each have one. The two slides can then slide in slides perpendicular to each other and rotating eccentrically
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
with respect to the axis of the cylinder block .. In this form of. In this embodiment, the two pistons execute, whatever the eccentricity, strokes in opposite directions always of equal magnitude, so that the dynamic unbalance forces are balanced for all the settings of the pump. Such a double pump system can be realized by guiding the two pistons each in a cylinder block and by sliding the slides in slides perpendicular to each other of a common rotating guide element. eccentrically to the cylinder blocks.
Another solution for constructing such a double pump system consists in guiding the two pistons in cylinders perpendicular to each other of a common cylinder block, from which protrudes, on one side, the slide of one of the pistons, and on the other side, the slide of the other piston, so that these two slides slide in slides rotating eccentrically on either side of the cylinder block. In this case, it is advantageous for the cylinders of the cylinder block to be in the same plane and for the pistons to be flat at their median part and up to their median plane, so as to be able to interlock.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, several embodiments of the invention.
Figures 1 and 2 are schematic sectional views of a single valve-less piston pump, Figure 3 is a cross-section of a reduced-level embodiment, Figure 4 is a cross-section of a single valve. symmetrically mounted double pump, Figure 5 is a sectional view of a double cross piston pump, and Figures 6 and 7 are cross sections of another embodiment of a double cross piston pump.
In the body 7 of the pump (Figures 1 to 3), a cylinder block 1, forming a radial cylinder 4 ', is mounted so as to be able to rotate. A double-acting piston slides in the 4 'cylinder
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
4., to which is fixed a transverse tenon 2. The latter protrudes laterally from the cylinder block 1, which has a corresponding opening, and carries at its end a slide 5 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the piston. This slide 5 is guided in a slide 5 'of a disc 3, mounted in a bearing 6. The latter is guided radially in the body 7, so that the bearing of the disc 3 can be adjusted eccentrically with respect to the bearing. cylinder block 1.
The cylinder 4 'communicates with the conduits 8, 9 of the distribution level, arranged in the body 7 and communicating with the delivery pipes 8' and suction 9 '. When the cylinder block 1 is actuated, and the disc 3 is eccentrically adjusted, the piston 4 performs in the cylinder 4 'a stroke which depends on the eccentric position of the disc 3. This stroke is generated because the piston is guided on the one hand in the cylinder 4 ', and on the other hand, perpendicularly by the slide 5 and the slide 5'. In such a cross guide, the piston passes from one extreme position to the other for a rotation of 180 of the cylinder block 1.
This stroke of the piston 4 has the effect of continuously sucking the fluid from the pipe 9 'and expelling it into the delivery pipe 8', according to the principle of cardan pumps. Due to the fact that the transverse guide 5, 5 'of the piston 4 is located outside the cylinder block 1, it is possible to minimize the length of the piston 4 and the diameter of the cylinder block 1 and, in addition, to provide a long and safe guide 5 'for the neck. 5.
Figure 3 shows in principle the same arrangement. Only the conduits of the adjustment level 8 and 9 have been moved into the bearing 7 'of the pump body 7. Thanks to the communication conduits 11, 12 in the cylinder block 1, which open into the journal 1', the communication is established between the cylinder 4 'and the conduits 8, 9 of the distribution level. This arrangement of the conduits of the distribution level 8, 9 considerably facilitates the sealing, especially for high pressures.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 4, a

control shaft 22 is located in a pump body 21, and connected to a cylinder block 24 provided with a pump cylinder 23. In the body 21 and next to the block 24, there is provided an eccentrically adjustable ring 25 relative to the control shaft 22, and in this ring is mounted a guide element 26. The ring 25 is adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 27. The guide element 26 has a cylindrical bore 28. Another cylinder block 24 ', with a pump cylinder 23' is mounted symmetrically to the cylinder block 24, in the pump body 21.
Two pump pistons 29, 29 'guided in the pump cylinders 23, 23' are mounted parallel to each other at the ends of a connecting pin 30, passing through openings 31, 31 'of the cylinder blocks 24, 24 '. Between the pistons 29 and 29 ', the connecting pin 30 carries a third piston 32, the axis of which is perpendicular to those of the pistons 29, 29'. The piston 32 forming the slide is guided in the cylindrical bore 28 forming the slide of the guide element 26. The connecting pin 30 forms with the three pistons 29, 29 ', 32 the cross-section of a mechanism. with a cross which, in a known manner, performs an eccentric movement during the rotation of the system, following the eccentric mounting of the guide element 26.
While the piston 32, in the cylindrical bore 28, serves only for guidance, the pistons 29, 29 'act as pump pistons in the pump cylinders 23, 23' and drive the fluid to be delivered to the level conduits. distribution 33, 34 arranged in the pump body 21 and connected in a manner not shown, to the delivery and suction pipes. It is obviously possible to make the piston 32 act in the cylindrical bore 28 as an additional pump piston and to arrange a distribution level and communication ducts in the ring 25.
In the. As an embodiment of Figure 5, a drive shaft 42 is mounted in a pump body 41, and connected to a rotary cylinder block 44 containing a pump cylinder 43. In this, a connected piston 45 is guided. rigidly to a guide plate
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
dage 47 by a tenon 46. The plate 47 is provided with a guide groove 48 perpendicular to the axis of the piston. The piston 45 and the guide plate 47 together form the cross of a cross guide mechanism, the radially adjustable guide member 49 of which carries a key 50 sliding in the guide groove 48.
The guide element 49 is journalled, with the intervention of a ball bearing 51, in a bezel 52 held eccentrically to the control shaft 42 in the body of the pump 41 by two journals 53, 53 '. The guide element 49 has on the other side a guide groove 54, perpendicular to the key 50, and in which slides a key 55 integral with a second guide plate 47 '. The latter is connected to a second piston 45 'by a tenon 46'. The piston 45 'slides in the pump cylinder of another rotary cylinder block 44'. The pump cylinders 43 of the two cylinder blocks 44, 44 'open into distribution level conduits 56, 56', 57 and 57 'of the pump body 41,
from which originate a pair of conduits 56, 56 ', going to a discharge pipe and another pair of pipes 57, 57' going to a suction pipe. When the pump is actuated, the two cross members 45, 47 and 45 'and 47' execute an eccentric movement, due to the eccentricity of the bezel 49 constituting the common guide element, while the pistons 45, 45 'pass from one extreme position to the other, at each 1800 rotation of the control shaft 42, and expel the fluid to be delivered in the conduits of the distribution level according to the principle of gimbal.
The stroke of the pistons 45, 45 'can be changed in common by the radial adjustment of the guide element 49. Thanks to the perpendicular arrangement between them of the piston guides 48/50 and 54/55, one ob - holds that the pistons 45,45 'always move at the same time in opposite directions, so that the unbalance forces occurring under the effect of the movement of the pistons, are compensated for at each phase of movement.
In the embodiment shown in Figures 6 and
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
7, an intermediate body 71 is adjustable in a pump body 70, eccentrically by means of an adjusting screw 72. The intermediate body 71 is provided with discharge and suction ducts 73, '73' ( adjustment level). In the intermediate body 71, a cylinder block 75 mounted on ball bearings 74, 74 'has two cylindrical bores 76, 76' lying in the same plane and crossing at right angles. In each cylindrical bore 76, 76 'slides a piston 77, 77' notched at its median part, up to its median plane. Thanks to this, the pistons 77 and 77 'can be mounted in a cross one inside the other, so that their axes lie in the same plane.
Each piston 77, 77 'carries a guide slide 78, 78' perpendicular to the axis of the piston. Each slide 78, 78 'slides in a guide plate 79, 79' grooved and mounted in the body 70, and the plate 79 'is connected to a drive shaft 80. It is clearly seen that, during operation of the system, the two cross elements (77/78 and 77 '/ 78') perform eccentric movements due to the eccentricity of the cylinder block 75, so that the pistons 77, 77 'expel the fluid to be delivered from the pipe. distribution level 73 'in the delivery duct 73, following the principle of cardan pumps.
