Cette pièce peut, par exemple, être consti tuée par une bague s'engageant dans une en coche de chacun des pistons, cette bague et ces encoches étant munies de rampes appro priées. Au dessin annexé, donné uniquement à titre d'exemple: La fig. 1 est une coupe verticale, longi tudinale, suivant la ligne 1-1 de la fig. 2, d'une forme d'exécution d'une pompe selon l'invention; La fig. 2 est une coupe horizontale, sui vant la ligne 2-2 de la fig. 1; La fig. 3 est une coupe verticale, longi tudinale, suivant la ligne 3-3 de la -fig. 4 d'une autre forme d'exécution;
Rotary pump with radial pistons. The present invention relates to a rotary radial piston pump, intended to be used for regulating the circulation of liquids, for example viscous liquids, such as viscose already having a certain pressure, this pump being of the known type comprising a a certain number of udders in contact with an eccentric axis and sliding in the bores of a rotary member.
It is characterized in that a part which can slide longitudinally on the eccentric axis and disposed in an auxiliary chamber subjected axially to the pressure of the fluid entering the pump, acts on the pistons so as to. create a radial force which maintains the pistons in contact with said eccentric axis, independently of the play due to wear.
This part can, for example, be constituted by a ring engaging in a notch of each of the pistons, this ring and these notches being provided with appropriate ramps. In the accompanying drawing, given solely by way of example: FIG. 1 is a vertical section, longi tudinal, along line 1-1 of FIG. 2, of an embodiment of a pump according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section, taken along line 2-2 of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a vertical section, longi tudinal, taken along line 3-3 of -fig. 4 of another embodiment;
Fig. 4 is a horizontal section, taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 3; Fig. 5 is a vertical section, transverse, taken along line 5-5 of FIG. '3; Fig. 6 is a vertical section, longitudinal, of another embodiment.
According to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the pump consists of a pump body 1, comprising a cylindrical recess 2, in which is housed a cylindrical member 3, integral with a pin 4, passing through the pump body. On this axis is wedged a pinion 5 or any other appropriate transmission member, making it possible to drive said cylindrical member 3 with a rotational movement. - A -certain number of cylindrical housings 6, five in the example shown. , are drilled in member 3, in a transverse plane. These housings open into a cylindrical cavity 7, extended in a conical shape 8 or the like.
In each cylindrical housing 6 can move, radially relative to the cylinder 6, a piston 9. The feet 10 of these pistons converge towards an axis 11 which acts as a stop for them. This pin is fixed on the cover of the pump body 12, and its position may vary in the plane of FIG. 1, so that it can be offset with respect to axis 4 by a quantity e, variable at will.
For this purpose, the axis Q11 passes through the cap 12 by a slot 13. It is supported on the cap by a shoulder 14 and is held externally by a nut 15. A micrometric screw 16, resting on the cover 12 , allows to move, with great sensitivity and parallel to itself, the axis 11, the nut 15 sliding on the external face of the cover 12.
As will be seen below, the pis tons 9, the movements of which in the housings 6 are due to the eccentricity of the axes 4 and 11, must remain in permanent contact by their feet 10 with the axis II.
The device described below makes it possible to obtain this result.
In each piston 9 is formed a notch 17 comprising a conical ramp 18. In the notches 17 engages a ring 19 comprising a continuous ramp 20, conical, cooperating with the ramps 18. This ring is in contact with a ring 21 smoothing neck on the axis 11. This ring 21 cooperates with the shoulder 14, carried by the axis 11, and forms with it a sealed chamber 22. For this purpose, the cylindrical contact surfaces of the ring and of the shoulder are perfectly adjusted. The crown 19 could be integral with the ring 21.
In the chamber 22 thus formed, and relative to which the ring 21 constitutes a kind of piston, opens the. channel. -23- of ... food. The chamber 22 is therefore filled with viscous liquid which the pump is responsible for delivering and compressing, this liquid already being at a pressure of several kilos.
The components which have just been described are all found in the exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 3, 4 and 5. The two embodiments shown differ only by the pipes connecting the chamber 22 to the inlet port in the cylinders 6, constituted in both cases by a semi-circular duct 24. , formed in the internal cylindrical wall 2 of the pump body 1.
In the example of fig. 1 and 2, this connection is made by a central channel 25, drilled along the axis of the eccentric pivot 11. This channel ends in a small recess 26. allowing, whatever the eccentricity e of the shaft 11, d 'have a communication between the channel 25 and a channel 27, drilled in the cylindrical member 3. This channel 27 opens into a circular recess 28, formed in the pump body 1. This recess 28 is itself in relation via channel 29 (fig. 2) with semi-circular duct 24.
In the example of fig. 3, 4 and 5, on the contrary, the chamber 22 is directly connected. to the semi-circular duct 24 by a channel 30, formed in the cover 12 of the pump body.
In both of the embodiments shown, the device is completed by a second semicircular pipe 31, separated from pipe 24 by two ribs 32. This pipe 31 is connected by a channel 33, to the discharge port for the liquid compressed by the pump.
The operation of the pump is very simple. As a result of the eccentricity of the axes 4 and 11, the outer ends of the pistons 9 describe, in space, a circumference and move alternately in the cylindrical housings 6 with respect to the cylindrical member 3. The eccentricity e is such that the pistons 9 have a centripetal movement, during the U-turn corresponding to their passage opposite the intake duct 24; they therefore suck liquid into the cylindrical housing 6. In the next half-turn, their movement is cen trifuge and they expel the liquid into the discharge pipe 31.
During this half-turn, as a result of the centrifugal force, the feet 10 of the pistons would tend to unstick from the pin 11. But, under the action of the pressure of the admitted liquid, the ring 19 for mant piston tends to. move to the left, and causes the wedge effect on the pistons 9 as a result of the ramps 18 and 20.
In the event that the pressure of the liquid comes to decrease in the chamber 22, one or more emergency springs 35 will be placed, preferably in said chamber, bearing, on the one hand, on the shoulder 14, and, on the other hand, on crown 21.
In fig. 6, there is shown an alternative embodiment according to the invention. According to this exemplary embodiment, the crown 19 is in contact with a disc 21a fitted in the cylindrical cavity 7 of the cylindrical member 3. On this disc 21a which is drilled in its center with a sufficient hole to allow making varying the eccentricity of the axis 11, rubs a second disc 21b, adjusted on the axis 11 and determining the chamber 22 with the shoulder 14, the conical surface 8 and the internal surface 12a of the cap 12.
The chamber 22 is in relation, on the one hand, by the channel 23 with the inlet, and, on the other hand, by the channel 34, drilled through the cylindrical body 3 parallel to the axis 11, with the circular cavity 28 which communicates with the semi-circular inlet duct 24.
The operation of this device is identical to that indicated above, the combination of the two discs 21a and 21b ensuring the sealing of the chamber 22.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments, shown and described, which have been chosen only by way of example. In particular, it was assumed in these examples that all the liquid passed through the chamber 22. Of course, it would not be departing from the invention to establish said bypass chamber on the liquid inlet, in particular in the case of high flow rates. . In this case, a large fraction of the liquid would flow directly into the semicircular pipe 24.
