Le pulvérisateur représenté fonctionne comme suit: Le liquide à pulvériser est intro duit dans le réservoir 1 par l'embouchure 2, puis le levier 10 est actionné manuellement pour entraîner le piston 7; ce dernier, lors de son déplacement dans le sens de la flèche 41, assure l'aspiration du liquide (contenu dans le réservoir 1) qui, par le conduit 16, la creu sure 15, la chambre 18, les canaux 20, pénètre dans le cylindre 5, le bord de la rondelle 21 se courbant sous l'action de la différence de pression vers l'intérieur de ce dernier;
Sprayer. The present invention relates to a sprayer comprising a reservoir communicating with the cylinder of a piston pump intended to supply a jet, via a valve, a compression chamber and a duct. evacuation, charac terized by the fact that the pump cylinder and a jacket protecting the latter are fixed to the bottom of the reservoir, outside it, and that the cylinder communicates with the latter by at least one conduit pierced through said.
bottom, the piston rod of said pump being assembled to an arm carried by an operating lever, this arm being intended to penetrate into one of the ends of the cylinder, the latter passing for this purpose through the protective jacket, means being designed to assemble the compression chamber to the body of the jet supply valve.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the sprayer object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevation view. Fig. 2 is a view from below. Fig. 3 is a sectional view along I-I of FIG. 2, and fig. 4 is a sectional view along II-II of the fi ,, -. 2.
The sprayer shown comprises a tank 1 having a filling mouth 2 at its upper part, a protective sleeve 3 at its lower end and a bottom 4. To the latter is assembled, by welding, a cylinder 5 of a pump. 6, the piston 7 of which is provided with a rod 8 which is connected to an arm 9 keyed on an operating lever 10 carried by two flanges 11. and 12 attached to the sleeve 3.
One end of the eylinder 5 is provided with a thread 13 on which is. screwed on a threaded plug 1.1 having an annular recess 15 into which ends a pipe 16 passing through the bottom of the tank 1 .; the recess 15 communicates through orifices 17 with a chamber 18 formed at. the interior of the plug 14; the threaded portion 19 of the latter is pierced with channels 20 putting the communication into communication. chamber 18 with the interior of cylinder 5, when valve 21, consisting of a rubber washer fixed with a screw 22, is detached from its seat.
The cylinder 5 is welded to the body of a valve 23 which, on the other hand, passes through the bottom 4 of the tank I .; this valve 23 has a longitudinal bore 24 closed to one of its ends by a threaded plug 25 and opening, at its other end, into the reservoir 1, opposite a pressure chamber 26; a duct 27 connects the interior of cylinder 5 with bore 24; eelui is provided with a circular shoulder 28 against which rests the head 29 of a screw 30 which is in engagement with a threaded part 31 intended to press the bottom 32 of the pressure chamber 26 against a ring d 'rubber seal 33, disposed in the reservoir 1, around the bore 24, this for the purpose of fixing the chamber 26.
The screw 30 has an axial channel 34 which can be closed off by a ball 35 retained by a transverse bar 36; orifices 37 communicate the channel 34 with a chamber 38 to which is connected a channel 39 ensuring the supply of the sprayer jet. A lubricator 40 is used to lubricate the piston 7.
The sprayer shown operates as follows: The liquid to be sprayed is introduced into the reservoir 1 through the mouth 2, then the lever 10 is actuated manually to drive the piston 7; the latter, during its movement in the direction of arrow 41, ensures the suction of the liquid (contained in the reservoir 1) which, through the conduit 16, the sour hollow 15, the chamber 18, the channels 20, enters the cylinder 5, the edge of the washer 21 curving under the action of the pressure difference towards the inside of the latter;
then when the piston 7 is moved in the opposite direction to the arrow 41, the liquid contained in the cylinder 5 is expelled into the pressure chamber 26 through the conduit 27, the bore 24 and the channel 34, the ball 35 preventing the emptying of this chamber 26; which, through the orifices 37 and the pipe 39, ensures the supply of a jet not shown.
It is obvious that the liquid can also flow directly from the bore 24 into the channel 34 and from the latter through the orifices 37 in the pipe 39.
The disassembly of the piston 7 of the sprayer shown can be carried out very easily owing to the fact that the cylinder 5 opens out to the exterior of the mantle 3, the latter being provided with an opening 42 facing the plug 14. Finally, the compression chamber 26 can be fixed in the tank 1 from the outside thereof by means of the screw 30.
The cylinder 5 could also be supplied by several conduits 16 passing through the bottom 4 of the tank 1.
