Cardan axle drive for electric rail vehicles. The present invention relates to a cardan axle drive for electric rail vehicles. As for the embodiments described in the main patent, it has a hollow shaft which is connected to a coupling flange carrying a universal joint. At one end of the hollow shaft and on the coupling flange, prongs are provided that interlock, d. H. form a toothed coupling, and the two parts of this coupling are held together by screws, the whole in such a way that an easily detachable connection is formed.
The cardan axle drive according to the invention differs from that of the main patent in that at least one serrated coupling between one of the cardan joints and the drive pinion serving to transmit power to the drive axle is seen.
The accompanying drawing represents an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows an axial section of this embodiment, and, Fig. 2 shows a detail on a larger scale.
The cardan drive shown has a hollow shaft 1 which is formed out as a drive shaft of the electric rail vehicle engine 2 and is connected to a coupling flange 4 carrying a cardan joint 3. Prongs 5 are provided on the hollow shaft end and on the coupling flange, which mesh with one another and form a prong coupling. 6 denotes a coupling arm of the universal joint 3, which is connected to the cardan shaft 7 by means of a toothed coupling 8. The other end of the shaft 7 is also connected by means of a Zackenkupp treatment 9 to the coupling flange 10 of the universal joint 3 '.
This cardan joint 3 'is, on the other hand, coupled by the driver arm 6' to the drive pinion 12 serving to transmit power to the drive axle 11 by means of a further serrated coupling 13-.
In Fig. 2, this toothed coupling 13 is shown on a larger scale. 14 means the mounting of the pinion 12, which engages in the gear 15 fixed on the drive shaft 11. The driver arm 6 'is attached to the tickle 12 by a single centrally located screw 16, which is only used for holding together in the axial direction of the toothed coupling 13 forming parts.
In the embodiment described, apart from the toothed clutch 5, only one or any two of the toothed clutches 8, 9 and 13 could be provided. Compared to the known arrangement in which the drive pinion is wedged or shrunk on a conical shaft of a truncated driver arm 6 'corresponding driver arm, the embodiment described offers the advantage that the roller bearings 14 on a part with unchangeable Lichem diameter of the tickle lie, whereas with the earlier arrangement the disadvantage is that
that the play of the roller bearing is reduced by a value that is not exactly known after the pinion is warmly drawn onto the conical shaft stub. In addition, the driver arm 6 'can be easier; - Separate from the pinion for the purpose of dismantling, which is important when overhauling the gearbox.
