1 designates the frame of the machine constructed in metal tubes, for example, in corners 2. This frame supports the upper tank 3 intended for < / B> receive the utensils to washing # placed in a basket 4 placed on a support 5 -of a -model already known . This 3 tank has an outer surface free of protrusions.
Basket 4, of rectangular shape, - of the tiné à to receive plates, for example, is arranged - in such a way that these are placed to present their hollow part to the liquid jet and are therefore inclined of approximately 15 ' vertically. This is achieved by wedging them between keys horizontal bars 91, in wood for example, - arranged parallel to one of the diagonals of the rack. The plates rest by their edge on racks 92 comprising notches 93 and placed horizontally perpendicular to the bars 91.
The top of the tank is reinforced. by an angle 6 (fig. 6) which at the same time serves to beat the lid 7 of the cuvé. This cover is liable to tilt around # a hinge pin 8. It can be lifted by grasping it by the handle 9; it is then held in balance by hand by the counterweight 10 whose action is transmitted to it by key levers Il articulated around d% xes 12 and. chains 13 acting on angles 14, which also prevent the cover from exceeding the vertical position towards the rear.
The bottom of the tank can be fixed to the frame either by tubes 15 (fig. 5), or by - nuts 16 fitted with ta quets 17 (fig. 7) ._ ieure 3 is Below the super-arranged tank a lower tank 18; < / B> this tank is intended to receive the washing water. It contains the centrifugal pump 19 (fig. 14) which can d * 'be driven by an electric motor 20.
The pump is fixed to the tank by a seal 21 which at the same time forms the cover of the pump. This seal is fixed to the tank by a flange 22 and -screws : 9,3 whose head is embedded in the seal 21. It supports, with a hand, the motor by means of a flange 224 near tapped holes 25 receiving the end of -screws 27 whose head takes place in a recess 26 of the seal 21 and, on the other hand, - the body 28 of the pump whose turbine 29 is carried by the same shaft 30 than the motor rotor. A 31 cable gland seals the Parbre packing through the gasket. This arrangement prevents leaks between the tank and said seal of the pump.
The suction is done by a tube 32 capable of being closed by a valve 33 whose rod 34 carries a spring 35 tending < B> with hand keep the valve closed. This valve is controlled by a sector 36 pivoting around an axis 37 and Eur which can act as a rod, 38 </ B> passing through the wall of the tank by a stuffing box 49. The movements of this rod which therefore actuates the device for opening the pump flow rate are caused by those of a stop 39 (fig. 10) driven by a cam 40, returned by a spring 41, this camp, itself receiving its movement from another cam 42 carried by a rod 43 , returned by a spring 44.
The position of the rod 43 is conditioned by the rotation of the camp, 45 carried by a rod 46, the rotation of which is obtained thanks to a lever 47.
This lever is located at the height of the cover -of the tank 3. It is positioned so to make it impossible to open < B> ce cover when the pump is energized. The rod 46 is housed in one of the tubes of the. frame 1 of the machine, which has the advantage of making it invisible. The members 39, 40, 41, 4-9, 43, 44 are also housed in a tube 48 mounted on a hinge 50 and able to move outwards from the device in a horizontal plane to allow adjustment of the various cams and springs.
The water delivered by the pump flows through a pipe 51 (fig. 19) which opens into the Fax of the upper tank. This conduit receives a junction member 52 whose flange 53 can turn on the orifice of the conduit 51 to which it is held by a ring 54 presenting a rim which maintains a heel of the rotating arm 55. The water passes through this part by oblique channels - and tends to to give it a rotational movement.
The turning arm 55 is placed on this member, to which it is fixed by a nut 56. the axis of the junction piece 52 is formed by a conduit 57 which crosses the conduit 51 at its lower end and carries at its upper end the arm 58 </ B > the rinsing tourniquet. This arm consists of a tube drilled with holes and fixed to the pipe 57 by a flange 59 integral with the latter and a ring 60. The rotating arm 55 carries at its end a nozzle 61 producing in the horizontal plane a jet causing the arms.
The key opening of this gi cleur can be appropriate to the desired speed of rotation of the arm, The arm -in addition has a number of slots 62 having an inclined direction relative to the vertical and producing the washing jets, while contributing to causing the rotation of the arm. These slots can be replaced by holes 63 which are then tapped and can receive either plugs 64 having a slot, or plugs 65 composed of a fixed part 66 and part. mobile 67, the mobile part being pierced with inelined channels 68 through which the water escapes forming a rotating jet.
This last arrangement is particularly useful when it comes to cleaning very dirty objects, in particular the cases, because the water jets rotating with the moving part 67 hit different points successively. objects to to clean.
In some cases when the appliance is used in a household, for example, or may omit the flushing device to simplify the appliance. The junction piece 52 is then replaced by the piece 69 shown in fig. 26. The movable arm is attached to this part by a 70 screw fitted with a nut, the tube 57 being deleted.
The rinsing water is brought under pressure, the outside through the tube 57 and must be very hot.
It then falls (as well as the washing water) into the lower tank 18 hindering the perforated bottom 71 of the upper tank. It is taken in this tank by the suction tube 32 of the pump through through a strainer 72 (fig._ 14).
The initial filling of the tank 18 can be done, for example, through a special pipe 73.
So that the water contained in the tank does not cool down, a metal rod 94 (fig. 10) is placed in this tank (fig. 10) , the end of which 95 protruding outside of the tank is heated by an electric resistance, for example. contained in a heat-insulated envelope 96. The water is thus heated by the conductivity of the rod 94 and one avoids placing the electrical apparatus in the water.
We see that with each rinsing, the quantity of water increases in the tank. It must therefore be provided for an overflow. This overflow is combined with a device for emptying the tank and the liquid discharge siphon.
A hole drilled to for this purpose at the bottom of the tank can receive the head 74 of a tube 75 (fig. there) capable of sliding vertically between guides 76. This tube 75 carries. at its lower part, a ring 77 on which can come to rest a rod 78 which slides in a yoke 79 </ B> provided in the drain pipe 80. This rod is able to rise under the impulse of a balance 81 movable around an axis 82 and on which can act a rod ' 83 pivoting in the vertical plane around an axis 84 under the action of a pedal 85 and d 'a counterweight 86.
When the pedal is depressed, the rod 83 rotates, it drives the sector 81 which pivots around its axis 82 and lifts the rod 78 which itself lifts the tube 75, the tank is then emptied through the drain pipe 80. This pipe is divided into two by a wall 87 in its part which is closed by the cover 88 and form a siphon in this part. It is connected to the dirty water evacuation duct # of the room where the machine is installed by a pipe 89. A rib 90 of the pipe 80 carries the axis 84 of the, drain pedal.
When the tube 75 rests by its head 74 on the orifice of the tube 80, the water does not flow until it exceeds the level of the top of the tube 75 and the overflow device.
To operate the machine, the plates or other objects to are placed in a rack 4, then the cover 7 is opened, which is only possible placing the handle 47 in a position which closes the suction of the pump. We place the rack on the support 5. We close the cover. You can then put the motor on the stove by simply closing the corresponding switch. The washing is obtained by returning the ma-net 47 to its initial position. After a few moments, the washing is stopped and the tap, with button for example, is opened and the water is sent to the rinsing device. When rinsing is complete, or close this tap.
All that remains is to open - the lid, remove the & ssiettes and the appliance is ready for a new operation.
We. could have ma net 47 control a switch stopping the motor instead of the valve closing the pump suction (or combined with this valve).
It would also be possible to provide heating of the water other than electric, gas for example.
The machine is a piece of furniture in tubes or angles, with very sober lines that can be harmonized with a modern interior.
