Abstract

Dishwasher comprising a water-softener formed by a salt box and an ion exchanger, the latter being connected to a fresh water intake by means of a programmed control electrovalve and to the tank as well as to the salt box by means of ducts, the said salt box being placed between the two metal sheets which make up the door and comprising on the inner metal sheet a filling opening which can be closed. The ion exchanger 11 is also placed in the door 2, below the salt box 10, which operates as a salt reservoir for a plurality of recycling operations, and there exists, for a valve 22 in a connection duct between the salt reservoir and the ion exchanger, a control apparatus 19 fitted with a releasing gear 20, 21. Such dishwashers allow a more compact design.

Household dishwasher
The present invention relates to a household dishwasher comprising a door which, in its part close to the ground, is pivotally mounted on the body of the appliance around a horizontal axis and a water softening device composed of a boot salt and an ion exchanger, the ion exchanger being connected to a fresh water supply by a solenoid valve with programmed control and to the washing tank as well as to the salt boot by pipes, said boot salt container placed in the door between an inner door panel and an outer door panel and having on the inner door panel a closable filling opening.

 When, in such a machine, the door is pivoted open downwards, the salt can be poured in a particularly convenient manner into the salt boot placed in said door. The filling opening of the salt boot is located on the inside wall of the door and can be closed by a hinged lid or a plug. The salt boot, established in terms of its volume for a single regeneration operation, is connected on the ground side, seen in the vertical closed position of the door, by a downpipe to the ion exchanger placed in the base of the apparatus.

 The invention relates to a dishwasher of the advertised type which is more compact.

 This dishwasher is characterized in that the ion exchanger is also placed in the door, this below the salt boot when the door is in the closed vertical position, said salt boot is established in a salt for several regeneration operations and there is, to open and close a valve placed in a connecting pipe between the salt tank and the ion exchanger, a control device provided with a triggering mechanism.

 According to an advantageous extension of the invention, from the solenoid valve placed in the base of the apparatus, a supply line is directed towards a casing unit formed by the salt reservoir and the ion exchanger and from said unit. casing a flow pipe goes to the discharge tank of the washing tub, these various pipes being brought in the form of flexible pipes to the door, ground side, from the base of the device.

 According to the invention, the softener device, complete and established in volume for several regeneration operations, is housed in the door. The salt tank filling opening is in a well-accessible location on the interior door wall and is easily accessible by a threaded or folding closure. This eliminates the need to remove a basket of dishes from the washing tub and leaves enough space in the dishwasher, inside its base, for free space for the arrangement of pumps, valves, controls, etc.

 The household dishwasher 1 has a washing tank), with discharge tank 4, closable frontally by a door 2. The double-walled door consists of an interior door panel 5 and an exterior door panel 5 and, in its part close to the ground, is established to be pivotable on the body of the device about a horizontal axis 7. The references 8 and 9 respectively designate a lower spray arm and two dish baskets.

 The softener device, composed of a salt reservoir 10 and an ion exchanger ll placed below, which are grouped in a single construction unit, is placed, in door 2, between the interior door sheets 5 and exterior 6. This softener device is connected to the water distribution by a frank water supply 12, a solenoid valve 13 and a supply hose 15 directed from the region of the base 14 towards the interior of the door, ground side. From the ion exchanger 11 a drain hose 16 leads to the discharge tank 4.

 The filling opening 17 of the salt reservoir 10, fixed in a well-accessible manner to the inner door leaf 5, is sealable, for example by a threaded plug 18.

 Regeneration of the ion exchanger, or preparation of brine in the salt reservoir, is made possible by a control device 19 arranged in the door, this for example by means of a cam disc 20, of a linkage 21, a control cable or the like by which a valve 22 placed between the salt reservoir and the ion exchanger can be actuated.

Household dishwasher comprising a door which, in its part close to the ground, is pivotally mounted on the body of the appliance around a horizontal axis and a water softening device composed of a salt boot and d '' an ion exchanger, the ion exchanger being connected to a fresh water supply by a solenoid valve with programmed control and to the washing tank as well as to the salt boot by pipes, said salt boot being placed in the door between an inner door sheet and an outer door sheet and comprising on the inner door sheet a closable filling opening, characterized in that the ion exchanger (11) is also placed in the door (2), this below the salt boot (11) when the door is in the closed vertical position, said salt boot is established in a salt tank for several regeneration operations and there is, to open and close a valve (4) placed in a Junction line between the salt tank and the ion exchanger, a control device (19) provided with a trigger mechanism (20, 21) and placed in the door.  2. Household dishwasher according to claim 1 characterized in that the solenoid valve (13) placed in the base (14) of the device a supply line (15) is directed to a housing unit formed by the salt reservoir (10) and the ion exchanger (11) and from said casing unit a flow line (16) goes towards the discharge tank (4) of the washing tank (3), these various pipes being brought in the form of flexible pipes to the door, ground floor, from the base of the device.
