Le dispositif représenté fonctionne comme suit: Lorsque l'usager désire aller à gauche (fi--. 3) il presse sur le bouton 8, ce qui a pour effet de comprimer longitudinalement le ressort 10 et de dégager le taquet 16 de l'un des trous 17, le bouton 8 est ensuite libéré et l'indicateur 11, du fait de la pression laté rale exercée par l'extrémité 12 du ressort 10, se déplace rotativement dans le sens de la flèche 18, jusqu'à. ce qu'il soit dans la posi tion 19, c'est-à-dire jusqu'à ce que le taquet 16 vienne en prise dans l'autre trou 17;

<SEP> the other end 13 of the spring 10 bears on the branch 7 and is hooked to the latter.
The indicator 11 is similar to that of an automobile and comprises a bulb connected by means of a cable 14 to a source of electrical energy, for example to the dynamoelectric machine supplying the lighting device of the considered motorcycle.
The end 15 of the axis 6 is provided with a cleat 16 limiting its longitudinal displacement; this cleat 16 is also intended to limit the angle of rotation of the axis 6, and is, for this purpose, capable of engaging in holes 17 drilled through the branch 7 of the flange 1.
The device shown works as follows: When the user wishes to go to the left (fi--. 3) he presses button 8, which has the effect of compressing the spring 10 longitudinally and releasing the latch 16 from one holes 17, the button 8 is then released and the indicator 11, due to the lateral pressure exerted by the end 12 of the spring 10, rotates in the direction of arrow 18, until. that it is in position 19, that is to say until the stopper 16 engages in the other hole 17;
to return the indicator 11 to its initial position, pressure is exerted by the user on the button 8, until the latch 16 is released from the corresponding hole 17; then this button 8 is rotated in the opposite direction of arrow 18 to. that this stopper 16 is again engaged in one of the orifices 17.
It is planned, for each motorcycle, to fix two supports on the handlebars of this one, one to indicate the direction to the left, the other to indicate the direction to the right.
