Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Herstellung eines gerbend     wirkenden    Kondensationsproduktes.    Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gerbend wir  kenden Kondensationsproduktes.     D'as-    Verfah  ren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 2  Oxy-diphenyl,sulfonsäure-(5),     4-Oxy-phenyl-          2'-oxy-diphenylyl-sulfon-(5')    und Formalde  hyd miteinander kondensiert. Der erhaltene  neue Gerbstoff liefert sehr volle, weiche     und     weisse     Leder    von     guter    Lichtechtheit.  



       Beispiel   <I>1:</I>  100 Gewichtsteile     2-Oxy-diphenyl    wer  den mit 60 Gewichtsteilen Schwefelsäure  monohydrat 2 Stunden bei 110 bis 115  sul  foniert. Anschliessend destilliert man das     ge-          bildete    Reaktionswasser im Vakuum ab,

   fügt  hierauf 20     Gewichtsteile    Phenol zu und er  wärmt weitere 2     Stunden        auf    125 bis     130 .     Zuletzt werden zur Vervollständigung der       Sulfonbildung    bei der gleichen Temperatur  Wasser und überschüssiges Phenol unter       vermindertem    Druck     abdestilliert.    Man ver  dünnt nun die Schmelze, welche aus     2-Oxy-          diphenyl-sulfonsäure-(5)    und     4-Oxy-phenyl-          2'-oxy-diphenylyl-sulfon-(5')    besteht, mit  Wasser, setzt 25 Gewichtsteile Formaldehyd  <B>30%</B> zu und kondensiert 25 Minuten bei 95  bis 100 ,

   worauf eine Probe klar löslich ist.  Das Produkt wird     neutralisiert    und     mit          Ameisensäure    angesäuert. Es liefert sehr  volle, weiche und weisse Leder von guter  Lichtechtheit.    <I>Beispiel 2:

  </I>  Eine nach Beispiel 1 hergestellte Mi  schung von     2-Oxy-diphenyl-sulfonsäure-(5)     und     4-Oxy-phenyl-2'-oxy-diphenylyl-sulfon-          (5')    wird nach dem Verdünnen mit Wasser     mit     Natronlauge deutlich     lackmusalkalisch    ge  stellt und durch     vierstündiges    Kochen mit  30 Gewichtsteilen Formaldehyd     30#%        kon-          deneiert.    Das mit Schwefelsäure     neutrali-          sierte    und mit     Ameisensäure        angesäuerte    Re  aktionsprodukt gerbt ebensogut wie das in 

   Beispiel 1 beschriebene, ergibt aber noch we  sentlich lichtechteres Leder.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gerbend wirkenden Kondensationsproduktes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 2-Oxy-diphenyl- sulfonsäure-(5), 4-Oxy-phenyl-2'-oxy-diphe- nylyl-sulfon-(5') und Formaldehyd mitein ander kondensiert. Der erhaltene neue Gerb stoff liefert sehr volle, weiche und weisse Leder von guter Lichtechtheit. ÜNTERANSPRüCHE 1.
