Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gerbend wirkenden Kondensationsproduktes. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gerbend wir kenden Kondensationsproduktes. Das Ver fahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 4-Oxy-diphenyl-sulfonsäure-(4'), 4,4'-Dioxy- diphenyl-sulfon und Formaldehyd miteinan der kondensiert. Der erhaltene neue Gerb stoff liefert rein weisse, volle und lichtechte Leder.
<I>Beispiel 1:</I> 100 Gewichtsteile 4-Oxy-diphenyl werden mit 125 Gewichtsteilen .Schwefelsäuremono- hydrat 2 Stunden auf 105 bis 110 erhitzt. Die 4-Oxy-diphenylsulfonsäure-(4') wird mit '\4rasser verdünnt, mit 125 Gewichtsteilen 4,4'-Dioxy-diphenylsulfon und 70 Gewichts teilen Formaldehyd<B>30%</B> versetzt und hier auf 45 Minuten bei 95 bis 100 kondensiert.
Durch Neutralisation mit Ammoniak und Ansäuern mit Essigsäure wird ein ausge zeichneter Gerbstoff erhalten, welcher rein weisse, volle und lichtechte Leder liefert. Ebensogut kann die Kondensation auch in alkalischem Medium vorgenommen werden. Beispiel <I>2:</I> 100 Gewichtsteile 4-Oxy-diphenyl werden durch zweistündiges Erhitzen mit 125 Ge dichtsteilen S'chwefelsäuremonohydrat auf <B>110</B> bis 115 sulfoniert.
Zu dieser Schmelze gibt man eine aus 4,4'-Dioxy-diphenylsulfon und Formaldehyd hergestellte Methylolver- bindung, die man erhält, indem man 100 Ge wichtsteile 4,4'-Dioxy-diphenylsulfon in 80 Gewichtsteilen Wasser und 105 Gewichtstei len 30%iger Natronlauge löst und nach Zu gabe von 45 Gewichtsteilen Formaldehyd 30% 24 Stunden lang auf 50 bis 55 er wärmt, das harzige Kondensationsprodukt vorsichtig mit Salzsäure ausfällt, abtrennt und mit Wasser wäscht.
Nach Zugabe von 27 Gewichtsteilen Formaldehyd<B>30%</B> wird hierauf eine Stunde bei 95 bis 100 konden siert. Anschliessend wird wie in Beispiel 1 aufzearbeitet.

The new tanning material obtained provides pure white, full and lightfast leather.
<I> Example 1 </I> 100 parts by weight of 4-oxydiphenyl are heated with 125 parts by weight of sulfuric acid monohydrate to 105 to 110 for 2 hours. The 4-oxy-diphenylsulphonic acid (4 ') is diluted with' \ 4rasser, mixed with 125 parts by weight of 4,4'-dioxy-diphenylsulphone and 70 parts by weight of formaldehyde <B> 30% </B> and here for 45 minutes 95 to 100 condensed.
An excellent tanning agent is obtained by neutralization with ammonia and acidification with acetic acid, which gives pure white, full and lightfast leather. The condensation can also be carried out in an alkaline medium.
