La fig. 1 est une vue perspective d'ensem ble relative à un dispositif s'appliquant à un appareil de réglage; la fig. 2 est une vue perspective montrant la commande simultanée de deux appareils à partir d'un seul bouton; la fig. 3 est une vue perspective schéma tique d'une portion de l'axe de commande; la fig. 4 est une vue perspective d'une bague d'entraînement; la fig. 5 est une vue perspective d'un disque à encoche; la fig. 6 est une vue perspective partielle d'une douille à fente;
Lorsqu'on désire, à partir d'une position quelconque, régler l'appareil sur une fré quence correspondant, par exemple, à celle pour laquelle le troisième disque a été calé, il suffit, dans une première phase, de faire tourner le manchon ià cliquets 12 dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre, jus- qu'à ce que le cliquet 14, correspondant au troisième disque, tombe dans la rainure 11;
Device for adjusting a device having a control axis such as a radio device. The setting of a radio station, and in particular of a transmitter, to switch from a transmission following a certain frequency to. a transmission on another frequency. is, so far, a relatively complicated and delicate operation, which involves the manipulation of a relatively large number of buttons.
The difficulty of this operation is further increased by the fact that a variation in the position of one of the buttons or knobs causes the position of one or more other buttons to be modified, so that one does not arrive at the end. desired result only after successive trial and error.
The object of the present invention is a positive device which overcomes these difficulties and which allows, by the operation of a single button, if desired, to cause the station to emit at different wavelengths, in such a large number. whereas it is necessary, the transition from emission on one wavelength to emission on another wavelength being instantaneous.
This device for adjusting an apparatus having a control axis, such as a radioelectric device, with a view to bringing said apparatus into a certain number of predetermined adjustment positions, is characterized in that the control axis of the device to be adjusted comprises radial members in number corresponding to that of the adjustment positions to be obtained, means being provided to select that of these members corresponding to the desired adjustment position and to bring it, by a rotation driving the control axis, in a determined final position common to all the components,
so that the device is then brought into the setting position corresponding to the initial setting of said member relative to the final position.
This device is applicable, for example. with variable capacities, variable chokes provided with a control axis.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of a device according to the invention and some details of parts constituting this embodiment.
Fig. 1 is an overall perspective view relating to a device applying to an adjustment device; fig. 2 is a perspective view showing the simultaneous control of two devices from a single button; fig. 3 is a perspective schematic view of a portion of the control shaft; fig. 4 is a perspective view of a drive ring; fig. 5 is a perspective view of a notched disc; fig. 6 is a partial perspective view of a slot sleeve;
fig. 7 is a partial perspective view of a ratchet sleeve; fig. 8 is a schematic view, in side elevation, of the ratchet sleeve, before the latter are fitted; fig. 9 is a partial longitudinal sectional view along the control axis. The control axis 1 of the device to be adjusted comprises studs 2, the number of which corresponds to that of the various adjustment positions to be provided for the device.
Around the control shaft 1 are arranged split rings 3, of rectangular section, and the ends 4 of which cooperate with the studs 2. The rings 3 are made of a material with a high coefficient of friction and play the role of Clutch members by their faces 5, for radial members constituted by notch discs 6 arranged between them. The discs 6 are threaded around the shaft 1 and each have a notch 7.
The notch 7 is limited by two flat faces 8 and 9, one of them, the face 9, in the example considered, is less inclined with respect to the mean radial plane of the notch than the other side 8.
The set of discs 6 is housed in a sleeve 10 having a rectilinear slot 11, and capable of rotating relative to these discs. The sleeve 10 is surrounded by a sleeve 12, capable of rotating relative to it. Windows 13 are made on the sleeve 12, arranged in a helix, number ten in the example shown in FIG. 8. These windows are each traversed by a pawl 14, the elastic tail 15 of which is fixed by screws 16 on the sleeve 12.
The head 17 of the pawl 14 is capable of freely passing through the slot 11 of the sleeve 10 and of cooperating with the notch 7 of the disc 6 placed opposite. The shapes of the pawl head 17 and of the notch 7 are such that the sleeve 12 is capable of driving a disc 6 for a certain direction of rotation of the sleeve relative to the disc, while, for the other direction of rotation, the drive does not take place.
In the example shown, the sleeve 12 is capable of driving a disc 6 for a rotation of the sleeve 12 in the direction of clockwise for the observer from whom the perspective views were taken.
The axis 1 comprises means capable of engaging or disengaging the rings 3 and the discs at will. These means consist of a tightening button 38, cooperating with a threaded portion 39 of the shaft 1 and which applies the rings 3 against the discs 6.
The operation of the device is as follows: In the initial position, and between each actuation, the sleeve 10 occupies a well-determined position, for example that for which the slot 11 is in the upper vertical half-plane passing through the axis of the control shaft 1. It is held in this position by a finger 40, cooperating with an asymmetrical tooth 41 and constantly biased by a spring 42.
The shape of the tooth 41 is such that the bush 10 can, from this position, be driven in the direction of clockwise and not in the opposite direction.
The discs 6 were initially placed so as to each correspond to one of the desired adjustment positions for the apparatus; to this end, the device is disengaged and the apparatus is brought, by direct operation of the control shaft 1, by means of the button 31, into the desired position; the disc 6 corresponding to this adjustment is then brought directly into the position for which its notch 7 is located in the upper vertical half-plane passing through the control axis 1.
The same operation is repeated for each of the desired settings, and hence for each of the discs 6. The discs 6 and the rings 3 are then engaged with respect to each other.
When it is desired, from any position, to set the device to a frequency corresponding, for example, to that for which the third disc has been wedged, it suffices, in a first phase, to rotate the sleeve pawls 12 counterclockwise, until pawl 14, corresponding to the third disc, falls into groove 11;
this position is indicated to the operator, for example, by a reciprocal marking of the positions of the sleeve 12 and of the sleeve 10; during this rotation, some pawls 14 fell into the slot 11, but immediately came out due, on the one hand, to the asymmetrical bevel shape of their head 17 and, on the other hand, to the cooperation of the finger 40 with the asymmetrical tooth 41 which immobilizes the drum 10 with regard to a rotation in the opposite direction of the needles of a watch.
The third pawl 14 thus being housed in the slot 11, imparts to the sleeve 12 a rotation following a full turn in the direction of clockwise. During this rotation, the third pawl 14, tending to protrude inside the sleeve 10, falls) at a certain moment into the notch 7 of the third disc 6 and, from that moment, the sleeve 12 drives the disc 6, of which the axis 1 is integral. When this rotation is completed, the device is in its position corresponding to the desired setting.
During this rotation, the other pawls do not protrude inside the socket 10, because only the third pawl then passes through the groove 11.
If, from this setting, it is not desired to be set to another corresponding setting, for example the fifth disc 6, it suffices to turn the sleeve 12 counterclockwise, until the fifth pawl 14 falls into the slot 11; sleeve 12 is then made a full clockwise turn, r from this position, etc.
To facilitate the adjustment, there is provided a dial integral with the ratchet sleeve 12 and on which are inscribed, regularly spaced, the numbers in their natural sequence, for example 1 to 10, in the case of ten different settings for the device. . In front of this dial is placed a fixed cover having a window allowing only one of the numbers to appear; the window can be advantageously arranged in the upper vertical half-plane passing through the control axis 1, and which contains the slot 11 for its rest position.
The maneuvers which have been described above, for example, to bring the device to its third adjustment position, then simply consist, for the operator, in making the number 3 appear behind the window, by a rotation in the direction counterclockwise, then make it reappear by rotating it one turn clockwise.
When it is desired to control several of the adjustment devices ià. using the same button, for example all the adjustment devices, a mechanical link is interposed between the control devices corresponding to each of the devices. In fig. 2, it has been shown, for example, a variable capacitor 32 and a variable inductor 33 controlled from the same button 34.
The ratchet sleeves 12 of the control devices corresponding to each of these devices comprise a helical gear 34a in engagement with a pinion 35 carried by a shaft 36; the shafts 36 receive the movement of the button 34 by means of conical gears 37.
The buttons 31 are intended to control the engagement and disengagement of the devices assigned to the control devices and also make it possible, if necessary, to adjust each of these devices individually.
