Deux formes d'exécution de ee compteur sont représentées. à titre d'exemple. au des sin .ci-annexé dans lequel: La fig. 1 montre une coupe: longitudinale partielle d'une de ces formes d'exéeution avec organes de remise à zéro, dans la position qu'ils occupent à la, fin de la remise à zéro; La fi-. 2 en est une coupe transversale suivant la ligne _1-B :de la fig. 1; La fig. 3 est une .coupe a.nalogue suivanl. la. ligne C-D de la fig. 1; La fig. 4 en est une vue en plan partielle;
Drum counter with reset. The present invention relates to a drum controller with reset, of the type in which each drum actuates the following by means of a toothed pinion which can, for the reset, be disengaged from the gear. drum.
This -counter differs from other similar counters by the fact that the drums are provided with resetting cores, one for each drum, and combined with resetting hammers provided with a control and willing to act on the corresponding hearts with a view to the. resetting the drums, all arranged in such a way that during a reset. zero, after the gears have been disengaged, said hammers come to be applied to the hearts which they set in rotation with the drums until they are brought back to zero.
Two embodiments of this counter are shown. for exemple. to the sin .ci-annexed in which: FIG. 1 shows a partial longitudinal section of one of these forms of execution with reset members, in the position they occupy at the end of the reset; The fi-. 2 is a cross section along the line _1-B: of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a .cut a.nalogue following. the. line C-D of fig. 1; Fig. 4 is a partial plan view;
Figs. 5 and 6 show, respectively in plan and in cross section, the second embodiment. , In the form of execution shown in Figs. 1. to 4, drums 1, the edges of which bear. 'the numbers 0, 1, 2 ... 9, are rotating on a common tree 2, and each of them is. rotated by the previous drum. by means of a pinion 3, the pinions 3 being rotatable on a common shaft 4 and being -controlled by the preceding drum by means of a single-tooth gear, as is well known in counters â . drums.
On each drum 1 is fixed a reset core 5 having a plate 6 and rotating with the drum around the shaft 2; the position of the heart in relation to the zero of the tam bour. is the same for each of them. The shaft 4 of the pinions 3, parallel to the shaft 2, is carried by two support arms. 7 swivel. on the axis 8 around which this shaft 4 can oscillate parallel to the shaft? to engage the pinions 3 with the drums or to disengage them; springs 7a acting on said arms tend to keep these pinions in engagement.
An auxiliary shaft 10 is provided with an arm 11 provided with a décla.nquement finger 12 arranged to be able to engage on a roller 13 which is provided with the shaft 4 of the pinions 3. The same shaft 10 carries as many hammers resetting 1.4 that there are 5 resetting cores of the drums, these hammers having a beak <i flat arranged to cooperate with the flat of the corresponding heart.
The shaft 10 carries a knurled knob 1; S allowing it to be turned against <the return spring 16 (fig. 2). In place of this operating button, a projecting arm could be mounted on the shaft 10: on which a pusher would act.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: As long as the reset members are in the inactive position, which corresponds to that shown in fig. 2, the counter is running at. the. known manner. his drums turn and record. To bring the drums back to. zero, it suffices, by maneuvering the button 15, to rotate the shaft 10 whose release arm l l produces first, by sliding its finger 12 on the roller.
13, like a cam. the disengaging abe of the pinions 3 of the drums (fib. 3), the latter then being able to rotate independently of each other, after which, towards the end of the rotational movement of the shaft 10, the hammers 14 each support on its respective heart 5 to make it turn with its drum until the flat 6 of the wall comes up in front of the flat part of the hammer to stop it in zero position.
The maneuvering button 15 then being released, the spring 16 returns the shaft 10 with the hammers 14 and with the release arm 11 in the inactive position, the pinions 3 being able to engage with the drums, which remain. at their zero position.
It is this position of the organs which is: represented in FIG. 2 (#t the counter is ready to operate and record from zero.
The resetting operation is here practically instantaneous, under a single rotary impulse doiili @ c- to button 15.
Resilient blades 24 exert a cer- 1 # _iine pressure on the drums and act as a brake., Involving the drums to be completely mad on the shaft 2 at the time of. reset.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 5 and 6. the reset hammers to zero 22 are all fixed on a common shaft 23 and one of them is combined with an angled lever 25 in tercalized between it and: a pusher < B> 27. This bent lever is journaled at 26 and is subjected to the action of a spring 28 which maintains it in the inactive position d (-terniiriée by a heel? 9 of said lever forming a stop on the, part = platinum 30.
By pressing on the pusher 27 # the welded lever 25 attacks one of the hammers 22 and makes it lower! -I, thereby all the closed assembly of the May hammers to apply them to the hearts 5 of the drums with a view to their return to zero, after a release lever, locking 31, which is secured to the crank lever 2:
i, will have pushed the closed assembly of control gears 3 out of the cl'enbage = nwnt rivet ks drums to make the latter, independent from each other.
The general operation of the. resetting the drums is analogous to. the one described. previously.
This second example is further supplemented by a safety device. Opposite each pinion 3 is disposed an elastic wool 9 which, at. each reset forces its pinion. at. take the correct position to then be able to enter into engagement with the teeth of its drum. But if, what can happen, laws (the resetting:
a pinion presses with] c # top of one of its teeth against its. blade 9, this one will be. blocked and can not. more, to play its role - of maintaining in correct position; then comes into play a finger 40 provided with a hammer of corresponding heart 122 and which presses on one of the teeth (read pinion which it rotates with a corrective angular movement, releasing the blade blocked 9 which then comes into action, with: the toothing of the pinion in the correct position for subsequent engagement with the drum.
A safety finger of this kind, 41, is also provided on each hammer 14 of the first example (FIG. 2).
The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown; for example, the shape, number and arrangement of the various organs may vary; likewise, the command to disengage the pinions and the heart hammers may differ from the commands shown; thus, the control of the hammers could comprise an operating member arranged to actuate them directly by at least one of them.
