Description

When a timepiece fitted with a quantity, in particular annual or perpetual, stops and the quantity has to be updated, it may be necessary to manually perform several, or even hundreds of successive corrections a day in the most favorable cases.

Executing such a large number of manual corrections is not only tedious for the user but, moreover, leads to excessive use of the correction mechanism which can lead to malfunctions.

The aim of the present invention is to create a mechanism for rapid correction of the quantity of a timepiece movement, especially annual or above all perpetual, making it possible to considerably reduce the number of successive manual corrections. for updating the quantity.

The mechanism for rapid correction of the quantity for a timepiece movement provided with a quantity, in particular annual or perpetual, which is the subject of the present invention tends to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks and to allow rapid correction, in a limited number of successive operations, the display of the quantity. This mechanism is distinguished by the characteristics defined in claim 1.

The accompanying drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example a form of execution of the rapid correction mechanism according to the invention.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of the mechanism in the rest position when no correction is made.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the mechanism in the active position during a quick manual correction operation.

In the accompanying drawing, only the essential elements of an instantaneous perpetual quantity are illustrated to facilitate understanding of the operation of the rapid quantity correction mechanism.

The quantum mechanisms, notably annual and perpetual, are well known and are described, for example, in the book "Les Montres Compliqu es" by Fran¸ois Lecoultre, in horological editions, pages 206 to 230.

The instantaneous perpetual quantization mechanism illustrated in figs. 1 and 2 in principle includes a month canvas 1 and a quantum canvas 2.

The month canvas 1 has twelve teeth and is driven at the rate of one step per month by the rocker 3. This month canvas has chelons 4, 5 whose radius corresponds to the duration of the months 30 and 31 days. A February chelon 6 has a cam that changes its radius, once every four years, for leap years. These chelons 4, 5 and 6 cooperate with a spout 7 of a large rocker 8 pivoted at 9.

The quantum mesh 2 has a toothing of thirty-one teeth 10 cooperating with a first pawl 11 of the large rocker 8 causing it to drive one step per day.

This quantum web 2 carries a first spiral cam 12 cooperating with a second pawl 13 of the large rocker 8 causing this web 2 to advance by one, two or three additional steps depending on the position of the large seesaw 8 and the canvas for months 1 at the end of a month of 30, 29 or 28 days.

The quantum web 2 still carries a second spiral cam 14 cooperating with an end 15 of the scale 3 and causes, once a month, the advance of the web for months 1 by means of a pawl 16 of this rocker 3 pivoted at 17.

The spout 18, at the free end of the large rocker 8, cooperates with a finger 19 driven by a pin 21 of a twenty-four hour wheel 20.

The large rocker is held in the applied position against a chelon 4, 5, 6 of the month cam 22 by means of a return spring 23; the month fabric 1 is held between its successive drives in an angular position defined by a jumper 24 and the date fabric 2 is kept between its daily step training by a jumper 25 in an angular position defined .

The operation of this instantaneous perpetual quantum mechanism is traditional and need not be described here in more detail.

The illustrated mechanism also includes a traditional correction pusher 26 subjected to the action of a return spring 27. The user, by pressing this pusher, causes the actuation of the large lever 8 and the drive of one, two or three steps of the quantum canvas 2 depending on the angular position of the month canvas 1. This push-button therefore allows the quantum to be advanced step by step as in traditional mechanisms.

The mechanism for rapid correction of the quantum object of the present invention will now be described with reference to FIG. 1 illustrating this mechanism at rest.

This rapid correction mechanism comprises an operating member 30 integral with a slide 31 sliding in a slide of the movement not illustrated. This slide and this slide 31 have the shape of an arc of a circle concentric with the movement and situated at the periphery of the latter. The operating member 30 is accessible from the outside of the timepiece.

The front face of the slide 31 has an inclined plane 32 cooperating with the pin 33 secured to an end of a lever 34 pivoted in its middle at 35. The other end of the lever 34 carries a pin 36 coop with the jumper 25 of the quantum canvas 2.

The slide 31 carries a tooth sector 37, the teeth of which engage with that of a sliding pinion 38 subjected to the action of a spring 39. In the rest position of the mechanism, this sliding pinion 38 is not in taken with the teeth of a first wheel 40.

This wheel 40 is in constant engagement with the teeth of a reference 41 meshing itself with a pinion 42 carried by the quantum canvas 2.

The lever Ù two arms 43, 44 is pivoted at 45. One of its arms 43 cooperates with a notch 46 formed in the slide 31 constituting therewith a cam while the other arm 44 cooperates with the large rocker 8.

When the user wants to carry out a rapid correction of the quantity, he places the operating member 30 in the direction of the arrow F, which causes, in the first instance, the lever 43 to tilt, 44 and the lever 34. In fact, the inclined plane 32 acts on the pin 33 of the lever 34 and the arm 43 of the lever Ù two arms comes out of the notch 46 of the slide. These displacements cause on the one hand the pivoting of the large rocker 8 and its isolation from the cam of the months 22, and on the other hand the displacement of the jumper 25 and the release of the quantum canvas 2 .

In a second step, when the user continues to place the operating member 30 in the direction of the arrow F, the sliding pinion 38 is moved so as to mesh with the wheel 40. D s this instant, the large flip-flop 8 being isolated and the quantum mesh free, any subsequent displacement of the operating member 30 in the direction of the arrow F causes the rotary drive of the quantum canvas 2 by kinematic link 37, 38, 40, 41 and 42. If we do this, we pass the position of quantum canvas 2 corresponding to the end of a month, the canvas of months 1 is normally driven by lever 3.

According to the multiplication ratio introduced by the train 38, 40, 41 and 42, a displacement of the operating member can correspond to the training of the quantity by several months without the perpetual mechanism of quantification don't be dr gl.

Arriving immediately near the desired amount, the user relssche the operating member which returns to the rest position under the action of a spring not shown. In doing so, the sliding pinion 38 is coupled to the wheel 40 and, at the end of the race, the perpetual rocker 8 is replaced by pressing on the canvas for months 1 and the spring 25 again fixes the angular position of the quantum screen 2. To complete the update, the user can press push-button 26 once or twice if necessary.

It is obvious that the described functions of the operating organ which are, at first, the isolation of the large scale and the release of the quantum web and, secondly, the 'engagement of a kinematic link and the entrainment by it of the rotating quantum cloth could be obtained using organs of different shapes without going beyond the scope of the claimed protection. What matters is the presence of these functions allowing the display of the quantity with a value ranging from several days to several months in a single movement of the operating member.

The essence of the present invention lies therefore in the fact that the rapid correction mechanism for a watch movement provided with a quanti me comprises an operating member accessible from outside the watch movement , this operating member actuating at the start of its travel:

  1. Means of isolation of the large rocker of a month cam, of the quantum canvas. These isolation means both in the example illustrated consist of a lever with two arms 43, 44 cooperating with a slide 31 actuated by the operating member 30 and acting on the large rocker 8.

  2. Means of liberation from the quantum web. These means are achieved in the example illustrated by the rocking lever 34 actuated by the slide 31 and acting on the spring 25.

In addition, this maneuvering member actuates in the second part of its travel a kinematic link which can be disengaged causing the quantum web to rotate. In the example illustrated, this kinematic link that can be disengaged is formed by a mesh 37 carried by the slide 31 meshing with a sliding pinion 38 as well as the cogs 40, 41 and the pinion 42 carried by the canvas. of quantity 2.
