Claims (9)

  1. Device (1) for actuating a date star (2) of a perpetual or semi-perpetual calendar mechanism comprising a large lever (4) arranged to be able to cooperate with a month cam (6) and to actuate the date star (2) each day, said large lever (4) being able to pivot with a stroke of variable amplitude depending on the month between a first initial actuation position defined by one of the positions of the large lever (4) when it is in contact with the month cam (6), and a final actuation position, characterised in that it comprises a mechanism for limiting the stroke of the large lever (4) so as to keep it between a second initial actuation position and the final actuation position, said second initial actuation position being intermediate between the first initial actuation position and the final actuation position, said limiting mechanism comprising a sub-mechanism (24) for blocking the large lever (4), the sub-mechanism being able to move between a locked position in which the large lever (4) is blocked in its pivoting in order that its travel be contained between its second initial actuation position and its final actuation position and an unlocked position in which the large lever (4) is free to pivot between its first initial actuation position and its final actuation position, and a locking cam (20) cooperating with said blocking sub-mechanism (24) and arranged to define the days for which the blocking sub-mechanism (24) is in a locked position or in an unlocked position, the blocking sub-mechanism (24) being in the unlocked position at least on the last day of months of less than 31 days, when a catching-up of the days at the end of the month is necessary.
  2. Actuating device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the blocking sub-mechanism (24) comprises a latch (26) arranged to block the large lever (4) in its pivoting in a locked position, and a lever (28) controlling the latch (26) and arranged to read on the locking cam (20) information relating to the days for which the blocking sub-mechanism (24) is in a locked position or in an unlocked position.
  3. Actuating device as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that said latch (26) comprises a protrusion (29) forming a stop on which a pin (30) fixedly attached to the large lever (4) bears when the blocking sub-mechanism (24) is in a locked position, defining the second initial actuation position of the large lever (4).
  4. Actuating device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the large lever (4) comprises a small pawl (16) arranged to cooperate with the date star (2) and a large pawl (18) pivotably mounted on the large lever (4) and arranged to cooperate with a cam for catching up the days at the end of the month (20) fixedly attached to the date star (2) at least in order to catch up the days at the end of months of less than 31 days.
  5. Actuating device as claimed in the preceding claim, characterised in that the large pawl (18) is arranged to cooperate with the cam for catching up the days at the end of the month (20) for the transition from the 31st of a month to the 1st of the following month.
  6. Actuating device as claimed in the preceding claim, characterised in that the small pawl (16) is arranged to cooperate with the date star (2) in order to drive it by one step per day from the 1st to the last day of a month and in that the large pawl (18) cooperates with the cam for catching up the days at the end of the month upon transition from the last day of a month to the first day of the following month in order to move it until the date star (2) reaches a position corresponding to the 1st day of the following month.
  7. Actuating device as claimed in the preceding claim, characterised in that the locking cam (20) cooperating with the sub-mechanism (24) for blocking the large lever (4) is configured to keep said sub-mechanism (24) in its locked position from the 1st to the 27th day of a month and in an unlocked position until the last day of the month.
  8. Actuating device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the locking cam is the cam for catching up the days at the end of the month (20).
  9. Timepiece comprising an actuating device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8.
