La présente invention est relative à un dispositif de verrouillage, applicable à la tête orientable de contre-angle de dentiste.
Ce dispositif est simple, pratique et d'un excellent fonctionnement. I1 assure avec une rigidité absolue le montage de la tête orientable dans la position choisie. n est caractérisé en ce que le collet de la pièce d'angle comporte, sur sa périphérie, une série circulaire d'encoches, dans lesquelles une bille peut être à volonté soit bloquée, soit légèrement pressée par un ressort formant rampe et logé dans une rainure longitudinale d'une bague coulissante, le blocage de la bille correspondant au verrouillage, tandis que la faible pression supportée par la bille permet le changement d'orientation de la tête.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, une forme d'exécution du dispositif suivant l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue en coupe longitudinale partielle de la tête orientable de contreangle, représentant la pièce d'angle dans sa position déverrouillée.
La fig. 2 est une vue de détail en coupe longitudinale montrant le dispositif de verrouillage dans sa position de blocage.
Ainsi que le montrent les fig. 1 et 2, dans le collet de la pièce d'angle A sont ménagés huit points de centre ou encoches E, disposés suivant une série circulaire. I1 pourrait y en avoir un autre nombre.
Dans les encoches E peut être engagée une bille D, maintenue par un ressort R formant une rampe et fixé < à une extrémité par un rivet dans une rainure longitudinale d'une bague coulissante B.
La bague coulissante B comporte un double moletage ménagé à chacune de ses extrémités et coulisse aisément sur la tête orientable C.
En position déverrouillée, représentée par la fig. 1, le ressort R agit par l'extrémité de sa rampe en n'exerçant qu'une légère pression sur la bille D, qui peut facilement passer d'une encoche à l'autre de la pièce d'angle A.
En position verrouillée, représentée par la fig. 2, c'est-à-dire correspondant à la bague
B poussée à fond vers la gauche, côté manche, le ressort R agit par le sommet de sa rampe sur la bille B qui se trouve pressée fortement dans l'encoche E, assurant ainsi le maintien ferme à l'orientation choisie de la tête C.
Le verrouillage de la tête orientable C se trouve ainsi assuré d'une façon rigoureusement rigide et sans jeu possible, dans chacune des positions correspondant à une des encoches E de la pièce d'angle A.
La manceuvre de déverrouillage s'exécute avec la même facilité, par simple coulissement vers la droite de la bague B.
Le dispositif de verrouillage représenté, en outre des avantages précédemment indiqués, est d'une construction simple et robuste, ainsi que d'un fonctionnement très sûr et indéréglable.

As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, in the collar of the corner piece A are formed eight center points or notches E, arranged in a circular series. There could be another number.
A ball D can be engaged in the notches E, held by a spring R forming a ramp and fixed <at one end by a rivet in a longitudinal groove of a sliding ring B.
The sliding ring B has a double knurling provided at each of its ends and slides easily on the orientable head C.
In the unlocked position, shown in fig. 1, the spring R acts through the end of its ramp, exerting only slight pressure on the ball D, which can easily pass from one notch to the other of the corner piece A.
In the locked position, shown in FIG. 2, i.e. corresponding to the ring
B pushed fully to the left, on the handle side, the spring R acts by the top of its ramp on the ball B which is pressed strongly into the notch E, thus ensuring the firm hold in the chosen orientation of the head C .
The locking of the orientable head C is thus ensured in a strictly rigid manner and without possible play, in each of the positions corresponding to one of the notches E of the corner piece A.
The unlocking operation is carried out with the same ease, by simply sliding the ring B to the right.
The locking device shown, in addition to the advantages previously indicated, is of a simple and robust construction, as well as very safe and foolproof operation.
