Clockwork movement click mechanism. The object of the invention is a locking mechanism for a clockwork movement, comprising a locking mass constantly tending to engage through its beak, under the action of a return spring, in the toothing of a wheel. This mechanism is characterized by the fact that the latching mass is secured and can move in a lateral recess of a bridge of the clockwork movement, the length of the path that the latching mass can make being limited by means a tenon engaged in a slide, tenon and slide being provided, one to the mass and the other to the bridge.
According to a preferable embodiment of the object of the invention, the tenon is formed by a screw fixed to the bridge of the movement so that it passes through the slide formed by an elongated opening provided for the latching mass. .
This embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
The fis. 1 is a front elevational view thereof; The fis. 2 is a section along the line A-B of the fis. 1, while La fis. 3 is a side elevation with parts in section.
In the drawing,. 1 designates the barrel bridge of the clockwork movement; 2 the barrel ratchet, in the teeth of which is engaged under the action of a return spring 4, the nose 3 'of the latching mass 3. The mass 3 is engaged and can move in a lateral recess 5 of deck 1, milled in the latter parallel to its plane. The mass 3 is held by means of a tenon formed by a screw 6, screwed into the bridge 1 so that it passes through an elongated opening 7 of the mass. This opening 7 forms a slide which gives the mass the clearance required for its operation. The path of advance ment and retreat of the latter is determined by the slide 7 and can therefore be relatively large.
So that the force transmitted on the mass 3 by the ratchet 2 is not supported by the screw 6, the nose 3 'of the mass extends in a notch 8 of the bridge 1 and presents a bearing 9 which is supported on a protruding part 10 formed at the location of said notch in the bridge. Thus, there is no risk that the screw 6 will break due to the thrust of the mass. For this reason, it is possible without inconvenience to replace the screw 6 by a pin or by a rod driven into the bridge 1.
According to an alternative embodiment of the object of the invention, the screw 6 could be fixed to the latching mass, while the smooth neck would be provided at the bridge 1.
The described ratchet mechanism offers serious advantages from several points of view: first of all it is simple in construction and therefore robust, durable and reliable in operation; in addition, it requires little space in height because these members do not exceed the thickness of the bridge, and finally includes a mass capable of a great decline.
