La présente invention a pour objet un appareil pour ouvrir des boîtes de conserves, qui est caractérisé en ee qu'il comporte une molette d'entraînement -du bord serti de la boîte à ouvrir, qui est portée par un arbre qui, en position d'emploi -de l'appareil, est disposé horizontalement, cet arbre étant sus- ceptibl:

et coupant ensuite le métal de la boîte lorsqu'on entraîne celle-ci -en faisant tourner cette première molette ainsi amenée en position supérieure.

L'appareil représenté comporte un support 1, destiné à être fixé sur une table par exem ple. de façon qu'un organe 2, monté dans ledit support, puisse tourner autour d'un axe hari- zontal. L'organe tournünt 2 est muni d'un ergot radial 3 coopérant avec deux butées 4, 5 pour limiter la rotation de cet organe 2 à environ un demi-tour par rapport au support 1.
L'organe tournant 2 est traversé par un arbre 6, tournant excentriquement. à son rieur. Lorsque l'ergot 3 coopère avec la butée 4, l'arbre 6 s e trouve dans sa position infé rieure. Lorsqu'au contraire. l'ergot: 3 coopère 5 avec la butée 5, l'arbre 6 se trouve, comme oie le voit facilement d'après le dessin. doris sa position supérieure.
Sur l'une des extrémités de l'arbre 6 e:st montée une manivelle 7 rendue angulairemeni u solidaire de cet arbre grâce à une cheville radiale 8, mais capable d'osei.ller par rapport à cet arbre (laits un plan axial perpendiculaire à, la cheville 8. Une molette coupante 11 est montée pour tourner librement sur un axe 12 fixé ait sup port 1. Ce dernier comporte une partie 13. de forme semi-cylindrique, disposée ;111-de s.slis de la moitié supérieure de la molette 11 pour i protéger la peiqonne utilisant l'appareil.

The apparatus shown comprises a support 1, intended to be fixed on a table for example. so that a member 2, mounted in said support, can rotate about a horizontal axis. The rotating member 2 is provided with a radial lug 3 cooperating with two stops 4, 5 to limit the rotation of this member 2 to about half a turn relative to the support 1.
