Plant for the preparation of beams, posts, purlins and the like woods for building purposes. The present invention has a location for the preparation of beams, posts, purlins and -der same woods for construction purposes to the subject, which is especially of distribution when these woods, eg. B. Rafters for barracks, must be processed in the same way in large quantities. A number of processes must be carried out on such beams. So they have to be cut to the correct length and tenons cut.
There are tenon holes, grooves, notches, etc. einbezw. Mill out, drill holes, and carry out other work in certain places, often on three flanks of the bars. This processing has not been carried out economically until now, in that the beams had to be guided by one worker from one machine to the other, brought into the required position on this, and then clamped in this.
This preparation of the beams was extremely time-consuming, required a number of workers and a large work room. In addition, the cuts had to be marked individually for each beam beforehand, which in turn took a lot of time.
The system according to the invention enables these disadvantages to be eliminated. It is characterized in that it has several working machines for carrying out various processing of the wood, which machines are arranged one behind the other adjustable, and that the wood on the machines, transversely to their feed direction, is automatically passed by.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view of the entire plant.

<tb> can put the <SEP> conveyor chains <SEP> 5 <SEP> on <SEP> <SEP> to <SEP>,
<tb> without <SEP> the <SEP> jaws <SEP> 13 <SEP> each <SEP> first <SEP> by <SEP> hand
<tb> open <SEP> to <SEP> must, <SEP> <SEP> these <SEP> there <SEP> are inevitably swiveled <SEP> into <SEP> open position <SEP>. <SEP> <SEP> sees this through this.
<SEP> that <SEP> the <SEP> jaws <SEP> 13 <SEP> with <SEP> one
<tb> protruding beyond <SEP> the <SEP> trunnion <SEP> 14 <SEP>
<tb> 'nose <SEP> 16 <SEP> on <SEP> a <SEP> stationary <SEP> stop <SEP> 17
<tb> accumulate <SEP> and <SEP> in the <SEP> C counterclockwise <SEP> missed <SEP> - #? rdeii. <SEP> like <SEP> in <SEP> Fig. <SEP> 8 <SEP> shown on the right <SEP> <SEP> i; t. <SEP> During the <SEP> advance <SEP> of the <SEP> chains <SEP> 5 <SEP>, the jaws 13 run over the stops 17 and are automatically fixed by the springs 15 after they have passed them - Haltela.ge withdrawn.
At the end of the path, the finished bars a are released again in the same way, also automatically, in that the lugs 16 again run up against stops 18 there, and, as Fig. 8 shows, when the holding surface: Chen of the fixed jaws 12 are directed obliquely downwards.
The bars a slide automatically from the fixed bar 12 and fall on any means of transport 19, such. B. a cart on .dem they driven away who the when -he is sufficiently full.
The working tools of machines 1, 2, 3, etc. lie so low during the beam advance that the beams can move over them unhindered. If these are then still for the purpose of their processing, the tools have to work according to their work up and lowered again after their work is finished.
To achieve the alternating forward movement of the bars a and raising and lowering of the working machines 2, a switching device (Fig. 9) is provided in the illustrated embodiment, which has three armed elements 19 and 20, which are intermittently by a three-armed driver 21 between them be rotated further. Instead of three-armed elements, other elements could also be used.
The driver 21 is continuously rotated by the drive 6 of the system and in turn rotates the two elements 19 and 20 each by 1/3 of a revolution. The lower element 20 is used to raise and Sen the tools and the upper 19 to drive the 'chains step by step. 5 and Bal ken a, in that it drives the transverse axis 29 common to the two chain wheels 8 with the aid of the translation wheels 30 (Section 7).
In the embodiment, the up and down movement of the machines is made possible by the fact that the entire tool head 22 of each machine 1, 2, 3, etc. is arranged with its drive motor on a cylinder 23 which is slidable up and down on a column 24. The up and down movement of the machines is controlled by the push rod 25 from a crank disk 26, which is driven by bevel gears 27, one of which sits on a transverse axis 28, which is common to the machines at the same height as the drive axis.
