Description

Device for attaching a film to a reel. We know that when we start to wind a film on a reel, we can surround the hub with a few turns of the latter which, gradually stretching, adhere sufficiently to no longer slip and to drag the rest thanks to the rotation of the the coil. However, it is often unpleasant and it is sometimes only after a certain number of unsuccessful attempts that the tape is sufficiently fixed. We tried to remedy this inconvenience by drilling a slot in the hub, to which the film is hooked by folding it back on itself in a hook, at its end for example.

In this case especially, this last part tears little by little, which gradually deteriorates the fihn. Spring systems were also placed outside the hub to fix the film. These then remained protuberant under the latter or presented other drawbacks which the present invention avoids thanks to a positive di, # designed to fix the film to the reel on which it is wound, characterized by a spring placed in a space provided in the hub thereof and between the branches of which res comes out is retained the initial end of the film.

The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention. Fig. 1 shows a front view of the coil partly in section, showing the spring which in this case is V-shaped.

Fig. 2 shows a side view of the coil partly in section allowing to see details used for assembly.

In the hub 1 is arranged in a small chamber underlying a slot 2 a V-spring, 3, the lips of which meet exactly below the slot 2. The slot and the spring occupying the entire width of the coil , it will suffice, when one begins to wind up a film, to fix the end of the film to it, which will thus be retained sufficiently so that the operation begun without difficulty continues normally, the rounded lips of the spring making it possible to maintain the film without tearing it. It is understood that the hubs of the coils could be provided with one or more devices described above.
