La fig. 1 en est. une vue en coupe verti- cale; la fig. 2 monstre, partiellement, Une autre coupe verticale, le fourneau étant surmonté d'un réservoir à eau formant un élément accessoire;
Sawdust stove, for heating water. The subject of the invention is a sawdust stove for heating water, intended to be used in particular, but not exclusively, for domestic use and for feeding livestock.
This stove is characterized by a combustion chamber intended to contain a load of sawdust and of which the lower part constitutes the hearth and, communicates with an ash box, while the upper part, provided with a closable opening for the stove. introduction of sawdust into.
the combustion chamber communicates, on the one hand, with a chimney and, on the other hand, when the furnace is loaded, with the ash box, through a draft channel that means.
allow the load of sawdust to be conserved, said combustion chamber being surrounded by a closed container intended to contain the water to be heated and provided with pipes, for circûliation passing into the combustion chamber.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the furnace forming the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is. a vertical sectional view; fig. 2 monster, partially, Another vertical section, the furnace being surmounted by a water tank forming an accessory element;
fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III of FIG. 1.
On .des piedis: 4 is mounted a hollow cylinder 5 forming a combustion chamber 6, the lower part of which constitutes the hearth which communicates with an ash box 7 when the furnace is in operation. In the drawing (fig. 1), this communication is interrupted by a drawer 8.
The combustion chamber: 6 is intended to receive a fuel charge 9, formed by sawdust; it communicates, in its upper part, with a pipe, d:
e chimney 10 provided with a member 11 for adjusting the draft. This part of the combustion chamber is accessible via a round opening 12 which can be closed off by a cover 13, which opening allows sawdust to be introduced into the combustion chamber. Said opening is made in a plate 1.4 placed on the s hollow cylinder 5 and on a casing 15 by turning the latter.
The casing 15 constitutes, together with the cylinder 5, a bottom 10 and the plate 14, a closed annular chamber 17 forming a container intended to contain water to be heated. This receptacle 17 comprises branch pipes 18 which pass into the. combustion chamber 6 and establish an active circulation of water between the lower part and the upper part of the container.
The latter has two taps. of die, ribution of hot water 19, respectively 20, and a drain valve 21 and communicates with a supply pipe 22 for bringing fresh water into the container 17. The pipe 22 comprises a member shutter 23 and a water tap 2! 4.
The furnace also comprises a tubular core 25 which is placed in the middle of the combustion chamber 6 before introducing the sawdust load therein. This tube passes through a hole 8 'made in the drawer 8 and rests on the bottom of the ash box 7.
When the combustible sawdust is introduced into the combustion chamber, it piles up around the core 25 and forms a relatively compact mass, which allows the tube 25 and the drawer 8 to be removed from the furnace without breaking up the chamber. combustible mass. In the middle of the oombustible mass 9 then susbists, in place of the nucleus 25 which comes. to be. withdrawn, a hole 28 passing through the.
mass of sawdust right through and taking the place of the draft channel, establishing a communication for the combustion air between the ash box pierced with air holes and the orifice of the chimney pipe 10 (fig. 2).
To light the stove, it suffices to use a small quantity of sawdust sprinkled with petroleum, which will be placed in the icy ash box below the hearth.
The sawdust charge slowly burns up on heating. the water contained in the annular receptacle 17, up to a temperature of about <B> 80 '</B> C. The hot water can be delivered using the two distribution taps 19 and 20.
In order to make the best use of the heat of combustion, the furnace comprises an additional element, re in the form of an auxiliary water tank 217 which can be placed, as shown in fig. 2, on the combustion chamber 6 and <B> the </B> container 17,
after removing the cover 13 and the plate 14 from the furnace. This reservoir has a round opening allowing it to be filled with water using the tap 24, said opening being able to be closed by means of the cover 13.
The water contained in the tank 27 is subjected to initial heating and can be discharged and used immediately. However, the reservoir 27 will preferably serve as a reheater to supply the container <B> 17.
To this end, it is provided with a dispensing tap 28 disposed above a funnel 29 communicating with the annular receptacle 17, by a fitting 30. By opening the tap 28,
the water from the reservoir 27 flows into the funnel 29 and passes into the receptacle 17 to be heated to a higher temperature.
The tank <B> 2 </B> 7 is provided with two handles 31 and can be fitted with a second valve serving as the. direct distribution of the heated water in this tank.
