Grésillon burner for boiler hearth. The object of the present invention is a grésillon burner for a boiler hearth, for example applicable to existing central heating boilers and the like.
It is characterized by a grid capable of being connected to a blower and the walls of which are pierced with longitudinal holes through which the air escapes laterally, throwing the flames on the walls of the boiler and preventing the entrafement of dust, as well as the passage of fuel through the blowing holes.
In a special form of execution, the grille is in the form of an oblong grained box, the interior of which may be connected to any suitable blower, and the stepped side walls of which are pierced with longitudinal holes for the outlet of the pressurized air.
In a second form. Execution, the grille is an oblong hollow body whose side walls follow a re-entrant hollow curve and are surmounted by a cap below which are the orifices through which the pressurized air is expelled through the fuel, these orifices thus being perfectly protected by the edges of said cap.
In a third embodiment, the grid is made up of two hollow bodies placed one above the other, leaving side slits between them for the outlet of pressurized air and communicating with each other via a connecting tube, the lower body. the burner being intended to be connected to the return of the boiler, and the upper body of the burner to the outlet of the boiler.
It is understood that water circulation could be applied to other embodiments of the burner according to the invention.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, three embodiments of the burner which is the subject of the invention. .
Fig. 1 is a vertical section of the first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the burner grate shown in FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a vertical section of the second embodiment, and FIG. 4 is a similar view of the third form which is arranged so as to be provided with a circulation of water.
The burner shown in fig. 1 and 2 com takes a grid 1, consisting of an oblong stepped box (fig. 2), the interior of which is intended to be connected by an orifice 2 to an electric fan or any other suitable blower (not shown). The stepped side walls of the box 1 are provided with longitudinal orifices 3, through which the pressurized air escapes laterally through the fuel which covers the box 1 when the burner is mounted in a boiler. The box 1, with a wide base 4, is placed on the bottom of a flat tub 5, itself placed on the ordinary grid of the boiler. The purpose of the bucket 6 is to prevent fuel from falling through the ordinary grate into the boiler ashtray.
The small or grésillon coal is contained in a hopper 6, placed inside the furnace of the boiler and protected against heat, either by a layer of asbestos or by a water jacket. The outlet opening of the hopper 6 is controlled by a valve 7, making it possible to stop the descent of the good tank.
The valve 7 being open, the coal descends on the grid 1 and is deposited there in a layer of a certain thickness. The pressurized air, brought into the grid 1 by 2 and leaving this grid through the side openings 3, drives the flames towards the walls of the boiler, increasing the heat transmission coefficient, the transmission being by contact. In addition, the pressurized air prevents the entrainment of dust, as well as the passage of fuel through the blowing holes. The clinker, which settles on the hottest parts of the grate, is removed using special tools.
The burner shown in fig. 3 has a grid in the form of an oblong hollow body whose side walls l 'instead of being stepped, follow a certain re-entrant curve and are surmounted by a cap 8, below the curved edges of which are the orifices air exhaust 3. The curved walls 1 'are fixed on a base 4, and the pressurized air arrives through a duct 2 in the space limited by the base 4, the walls l' and the cap 8, to exit following the arrows through the fuel and drive the flames towards the walls of the boiler, as in the first embodiment.
In some embodiments, provision can be made for water circulation. This is the case for the burner shown in fig. 4. In this, the grid is composed of a lower hollow body 1 "with walls converging downwards, fixed on a base 4, and an upper hollow body 1" ', with walls widening downwards. , communicating with the first through a tube 9. An orifice 10 of the lower hollow body is intended to be connected to the return of the boiler, and an orifice 11 of the upper hollow body at the start. A duct 2 makes it possible to bring the pressurized air into the space between the two bodies, from which it escapes through slits 12, left between these bodies.
