Process for the production of a new condensation product. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if acetylcyclohexyla.min is allowed to react with α, α'-dichlorodimethyl ether and the reaction product obtained is then reacted with thiourea.
The reaction of the reaction product obtainable from acetyleyclohexylamine and α, α-dichlorodimethyl ether with the thiophane substance is expediently carried out in the presence of a solvent such as acetone, alcohol, glacial acetic acid.
The new reaction product obtained in this way is a brown, hygroscopic powder that is clear and easily soluble in water. When the sodium acetate solution of the new product is heated, insoluble decomposition products separate out. The new condensation product can be used as a textile auxiliary such. B. to increase the affinity of fibers against acidic dyes can be used.
Example: 7 parts by weight of acetylcyclohexylamine are heated with 17.2 parts by weight of a, a'-dichloro-dimethyl ether with stirring to 100 to 105 and the reaction mixture is kept at this temperature for about 20 hours until the reaction is complete. The excess ether is then distilled off in vacuo.
6.6 parts by weight of this reaction product are dissolved in 10 parts by volume of cold alcohol and a solution of 2.7 parts of thiourea in 25 parts of hot alcohol is added. The temperature of the reaction mixture is kept at 45; separation of the reaction product does not occur. After the reaction mixture has been left to stand for a few hours and a sample of the reaction mixture has become clearly soluble in water, it is evaporated to dryness in vacuo.
The new reaction product obtained in this way forms a brown, hygroscopic powder that dissolves clearly and easily in water.
The aqueous solution of the new product mixed with sodium acetate separates out insoluble decomposition products when heated.
