Description

Process for the preparation of an acidic chromating dye of the anti-liraequinone series. The subject of this additional patent is a process for the preparation of an acidic chromating dye of the anthraquinone series, which is characterized in that 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sulfo-acid sodium with 4-chloro # 3-aminobenzyl-4'-oxy -3'-car-boxyphenyl sulfone condensed.

Example: 20 parts by weight of 1-amino-4-bromoanthra-chirion-2-sulphonic acid sodium, 23 parts by weight of 4-chloro-3-auiinobenzyl-4'-oxy-3'-carboxypheriylsulphone, 17 (x parts by weight of soda and 1 part by weight of Kiipfercblorür are heated in 250 parts of water with stirring to 80-90 ° C. until the formation of the dye has ended.

After filtering, the blue solution obtained is diluted with 15 times the amount by weight of water and the dye is separated off by adding dilute hydrochloric acid and filtered.

The filter cake is washed thoroughly with 3% hydrochloric acid and the product treated in this way is further purified by dissolving it in dilute ammonia and acidifying it with dilute hydrochloric acid. Man receives a dark crystalline powder which dissolves in water with a blue color and, from acidic liquor, produces beautiful blue tones on wool. After chroming, greenish blue shades of excellent fastness properties are obtained.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of an acidic chromating dye of the antbracbinone series, characterized in that 1 amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium is condensed with 4-chloro - 3-aminobenzyl-4'-oxy-3'-carboxyphenyl sulfone . The dye obtained in this way forms a dark, crystalline, water-soluble powder which dyes wool from acidic liquor in beautiful blue tones which, after chromating, change into greenish blue tones with excellent fastness properties. SUBSTANTIAL CLAIM: Process according to patent claim, characterized in that the reaction components are condensed by heating in water in the presence of sodium carbonate and copper chloride.
