Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines den     Pyridinhern    enthaltenden     Carbonsäureesters.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines den       Pyridinkern    enthaltenden     Carbonoüureesters,     welches     dadurch    gekennzeichnet ist, dass man  auf einen     6-Phenyl-2-halogenpyridin-4-car-          bonsKureäthylester    katalytisch angeregten  Wasserstoff einwirken lässt.  



  Der so erhaltene     2-Phenylpyridin-4-car-          bonsäureäthylester    bildet farblose Kristalle  vom F. 40 bis, 41  . Die neue Verbindung soll  therapeutische Verwendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Man versetzt eine Lösung von 4,6 Teilen  Natrium in 200 Teilen absolutem Alkohol  mit 26,1 Teilen     6-Phenyl-2-chlorpyridin-4-          carbonsäureäthylester    und schüttelt mit       ZVassserstoff    in Gegenwart von     aktivem     Nickel. Nach beendigter Wasserstoffauf  nahme wird der Katalysator abgetrennt und  die Lösung zur Trockne eingedampft. Der  Rückstand wird sodann in Wasser und     -Äther     gelöst, die ätherische Schicht abgetrennt, ge-    trocknet und das Lösungsmittel verdampft.

    Der erhaltene     2-Phenylpyridin-4-carbonsäure-          ä.thylester    bildet farblose Kristalle vom  F. 40 bis 41  .     6-Phenyl-2-chlorpyridin-4-          carbonsäureäthylester        vom:    F. 88   erhält  man aus     6-Phenyl-2-chlorpyridin-4-carbon-          säurechlorid    und Alkohol.  



       Statt    mit     6-Phenyl-2-chlorpyridin-4-car-          bonsäureäthylester    kann man die Reaktion  auch mit einem andern     6-Phenyl-2-halogen-          pyridiri-4-earbonisäureäthylester        ausführen.     



  Als Katalysatoren können ausser Nickel  z. B. auch Kobalt, Gemische von Nickel und  Kobalt, sowie Platin, Palladium und     dergl.     angewandt werden.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a carbonate containing the pyridine nucleus, which is characterized in that catalytically excited hydrogen is allowed to act on a 6-phenyl-2-halopyridine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester.



  The 2-phenylpyridine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester thus obtained forms colorless crystals with a melting point of 40 to 41. The new compound should find therapeutic use.



  <I> Example: </I> A solution of 4.6 parts of sodium in 200 parts of absolute alcohol is mixed with 26.1 parts of ethyl 6-phenyl-2-chloropyridine-4-carboxylate and shaken with hydrogen in the presence of active nickel. After the uptake of hydrogen has ended, the catalyst is separated off and the solution is evaporated to dryness. The residue is then dissolved in water and ether, the ethereal layer separated, dried and the solvent evaporated.

    The ethyl 2-phenylpyridine-4-carboxylate obtained forms colorless crystals with a melting point of 40 to 41. 6-Phenyl-2-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester of: F. 88 is obtained from 6-phenyl-2-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid chloride and alcohol.



       Instead of 6-phenyl-2-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester, the reaction can also be carried out with another 6-phenyl-2-halopyridine-4-carbonic acid ethyl ester.



  As catalysts, in addition to nickel, for. B. cobalt, mixtures of nickel and cobalt, as well as platinum, palladium and the like. Can be used.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines den Py- ridinkern enthaltenden Carbonsäureesters, da durch gekennzeichnet, dass man auf einen 6 Phenyl-2-halogenpyridin-4-carbonsäureäthyl- ester katalytisch angeregten Wasserstoff ein wirken lässt. Der so erhaltene 2-Phenylpyridin-4-car- bonsäureäthylester bildet farblose Kristalle vom F. 40 bis 41 . Die neue Verbindung soll therapeutische Verwendung finden.
