Camera, with photoelectric light meter. In photographic and cinematographic recording apparatus, photoelectric light meters are used to determine the exposure time and are housed in the camera housing. In order to increase the receptivity of such devices, it is necessary that the reading of the measuring instrument can be made from the rear of the camera, namely when taking pictures at eye level, as well as from above, namely when taking pictures at chest level .
According to the invention, this can be done in such a way that the reading of the photoelectric exposure meter in the upper part of the measuring instrument takes place both through a viewing opening located on the rear wall of the camera housing and through a window located in the upper narrow side of the camera. The pointer position can be read either directly or via a mirror. The window above the pointer of the measuring instrument can also serve to illuminate the scale.
In the drawing voltage several example Ausfüh approximate forms of the subject invention are provided. 1 and 2 show a first embodiment in a side view and partially in section, FIGS. 3 and 4 show a second embodiment in side view, partially in section and in top view, FIGS. 5 and 6 show a third embodiment in side view, partially in section and in plan view and FIGS. 7 and 8 a fourth embodiment in side view, partially in section and in plan view.
In Fig. 1 and 2, the invention is shown in one embodiment of a cinematographi's recording camera. The measuring instrument 1 for the photoelectric light meter is arranged in the upper part of the camera housing 2 of the recording cinematograph. 3 is the pointer of the measuring instrument. An inspection opening 4 enables the position of the pointer on the translucent scale 7 to be read off with the aid of a mirror 5 and a window 6.
The scale 7 is attached in such a way that it can be adjusted at any time from the outside by means of an eccentric screw 8, that is to say it can be set to zero.
In the second exemplary embodiment of a photographic camera, the measuring instrument 1 is arranged behind the instrument scale 7, as seen from the front of the camera. In this case, the measuring instrument is expediently positioned in such a way that the axis of rotation of the armature is perpendicular in the normal position of use of the camera. The viewing opening on the rear wall of the camera is labeled 4.
The beam path for reading the instrument scale is placed around the measuring instrument and is made visible to the observer's eye through a mirror 5. A window 6 is used both to illuminate the scale 7 in order to be able to read off the pointer position from the rear of the camera and to directly observe the same from above.
In Fig. 5, 6, 7 and 8 two Ausfüh approximately examples of the invention are shown in which the reading devices are arranged above the measuring instrument.
5 and 6 show an embodiment in which the reading scale 7 is angled at 45 to the viewing openings 4 and 6. 1 is the measuring instrument for the photoelectric exposure meter arranged in the upper part of the camera. 3 is the pointer of the same and 7 is the reading scale. 4 is the viewing opening on the rear wall of the camera. Here, the reading scale 7 is illuminated through the window 6 located on the upper narrow side of the camera. When taking on chest height, the pointer position can be read through the window 6.
7 and 8 show an embodiment form in which two reading scales 7 and 9 are arranged at right angles to one another. The tip of the pointer 3 of the measuring instrument is bent from this (round at right angles so that it runs parallel to the reading scale.) The reading of the scale 9 takes place after the position of the pointer 3 from above through the window 6 and that of the scale 7 from back through the window 4.
