Fig. 4 zeigt eine Einzeldarstellung in der Ansicht.

Distance meter with a viewfinder built in outside of its optical viewing axis.
In the case of photographic apparatus with a range finder and a built-in viewfinder, especially when it comes to taking pictures as quickly as possible, it is perceived as annoying that after measuring the distance, a head movement or a lateral shift of the photographic apparatus is necessary in order to Eye can capture the viewfinder image.
The invention aims to remedy this deficiency, which can be achieved by arranging the fields of view of the viewfinder and range finder at the observation point so close to one another that they can be viewed one after the other by simply turning their eyes. Separate, adjacent viewing openings can be provided for the viewfinder and the range finder. Instead of the two viewing openings, however, only a single viewing opening can be present, which extends over the fields of view of the range finder and the viewfinder.
The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention in exemplary embodiments.
1 shows a schematic section of an embodiment in which the viewing opening of the range finder is located directly next to that of the viewfinder. Fig. 2 shows a similar embodiment with a different beam guidance of the range finder. 3 illustrates a further embodiment with a common viewing opening for the range finder and the viewfinder. Fig. 4 shows an individual representation in the view. Fig. 5 illustrates another embodiment of the viewfinder connected to the range finder with a single viewing opening in a schematic section.
In the embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown in FIG. 1, a mirror rangefinder consisting of the reflection elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 is installed in a housing 5 in which the eyepiece 6 and the objective 7 of the viewfinder are also located. The one in front of the one at the back

ordered, by which the light beams emerging from the range finder are guided obliquely through the viewing opening 8. It is possible to move the viewfinder opening close to that of the rangefinder by means of similar-acting prism systems.
The viewfinder consisting of the eyepiece 6 and the objective 7 does not necessarily have to be arranged between the two reflection elements 3, 4 of the range finder, but the viewfinder can also be used in place of one mirror and the mirror in place of the viewfinder, with the optical Facility for easy viewing of both instruments can remain exactly as shown.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the reflection elements 3 and 4 of the range finder and the eyepiece 6 and the objective 7 of the viewfinder are built into a housing 10 in which for both fields of view
