Pedal bearing speed change transmission for bicycles. The subject matter of the present invention is a pedal crank bearing speed change transmission for bicycles, in which, in addition to the pedal crank shaft forming the drive shaft, a countershaft carrying gears is provided.
The speed change gearbox ge according to the invention is characterized in that on the crankshaft a rotating gear with this is longitudinally displaceable, and that the countershaft carries three firmly connected gears, one of which is the outer wheel with the drive chain - the gear wheel of the pedal crank shaft is permanently connected and the other outer wheel is in constant contact with a second gear wheel that is rotatably mounted on the pedal crank shaft,
while with the middle wheel of the three wheels on the countershaft, the gear wheel displaceable on the crankshaft can be brought into engagement, which has coupling means on its end faces, which by shifting the same with corresponding coupling means on the inner end faces of the other two on the crankshaft gelageiten gears can be brought into engagement alternately to couple these wheels with the ver sliding wheel.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing Darge, namely: Figure 1, the speed change gear in vertical section; FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section along line II-11 in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a detail in section along line HI-IH in FIG. 1.
2 is the pedal crank bearing housing, which is arranged at the lower end of the frame 1. The housing 2 is closed on all sides. On the sprocket-side end face of the housing, this is closed by a cover 4 fastened by means of screws 3, after which the entire gear mechanism can be easily installed and removed. The crankshaft 5 is supported in the housing 2, at the ends of which the cranks 6 are attached and which at the same time forms the drive shaft of the transmission. The crank shaft 5 is by means of a needle bearing '? stored in a bush 8, which in turn is again supported in the housing 2 by means of ball bearings 9.
This ball bearing is located in the opening closed by the cover 4, the housing. The sleeve 8 also forms the hub of the gear 10 angeord Neten at its inner end. On the outer end of the sleeve 8, a ring 16 is screwed to which the drive sprocket 17 is attached by means of screws.
On the pedal crankshaft 5, another gear 14 is rotatably mounted, and a third gear 12 is placed longitudinally on the central part of the shaft 5, which is designed for this purpose between the two outer gears 10 and 14 as a square 5a.
The middle gear 12-, the diameter of which is smaller than that of the gear 10 and larger than that of the gear 14, has coupling teeth 12a and 12r on both end faces, which have corresponding holes 1 (Ya and 14b on the inner end faces of the both outer gears 10, 14 interact,
depending on whether the middle gear 1 2 is engaged with one or the other of the two outer gears.
Parallel to the crankshaft 5, a countershaft 18 is used in the Ge housing 2, which is secured against rotation by a pin 22 and on which a sleeve 19 rotates, which carries three gears 11, 13 and 15 whose diameter increases from 11 to 15 .
The two outer gears 11 and 15 are in constant engagement with the gears 10 respectively. 14 of the pedal crankshaft, and with the middle gear 13, the displaceable gear 12 can be brought into engagement.
The distances between the gears 11, 13 and 15 are dimensioned so that the displacement wheel 12 can take between the same two Stel lungs in which it neither meshes with the center wheel 13 nor with the two outer wheels 10 or. 14 is coupled. A swivel fork 20, which is mounted on a pin 21 in the housing 2, is used to move the center wheel 12.
On the upper, protrude to the housing the end of the bolt 21 is an arm 22 be fastened, which can be pivoted by means of a linkage not illustrated by a lever attached to the driving wheel frame at a suitable point.
If the displacement wheel 12 is coupled to the gear wheel 10, the drive of the chain wheel 17 takes place directly from the Belwelle Tretkur. If the shift wheel 12 is brought into engagement with the center wheel 13 of the countershaft, the drive of the sprocket 17 takes place via the gear 13, gear 11 and gear 10, as well as via the sleeve B. Finally, the displacement gear 12 is coupled to the gear 14 , the drive of the sprocket 17 takes place via the gear 15, gear 11 and gear 10, as well as via the sleeve B.
