Process for the production of an acidic wool dye of the anthraquinone series. It has been found that valuable anthraquinone derivatives are obtained if 1.-Hydroarylamino-4-halogenanthraquinonesulfonic acids, which contain the sulfonic acid group in the other nucleus, are reacted with aromatic amines. The new products are acidic wool dyes with valuable blue-green to very clear shades of green. They are also characterized by good leveling properties and very good lightfastness.
In contrast to the corresponding dyes, which contain the sulfonic acid group in the aryl radical, the shade is shifted significantly towards green. Greenish dyes in particular are obtained when the sulfonic acid group is in the 6- or 7-position. The reaction can be carried out in the usual way, for example using copper salts as catalysts.
The new dyes are to be understood as 1-hydro arylamino -4-arylaminoanthraquinone sulfo acids, which the sulfonic acid group in the other. Core included.
The present invention now relates to a process for the preparation of an acidic wool dye of the anthraquinone series by reacting 1-hegahydroanilido-4-bromoanthraquinone-6-sulfonic acid with p-Aminoaeetanilid. The reaction can be carried out in an aqueous-alkaline medium, expediently in the presence of a copper salt. The new dye obtained separates out on cooling. It represents green needles that dissolve in water with a green color and dye wool from acidic baths vividly green.
Example: 10 parts by weight of 1-hexahydroanilido-4-bromoanthraquinone-6-sulfonic acid are mixed with 10 parts by weight of p-aminoacetanilide with the addition of 10 parts by weight of sodium bicarbonate and 0.5 parts by weight. Copper chlorine in 150 parts by weight of water heated to 60 to 80 C for 6 hours. After he cold, the deposited dye is sucked off and recrystallized from water. It represents green needles that dissolve in water with a green color and dye wool from acid baths vividly green.
