<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent <B>Nr.</B> 185146. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Azofarbstoffs. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Azofarbstoff erhält, wenn man diazotiertes 4- Ami n o - 2 -chlor- 5 -äthoxy-h9-ox m ethyl-1,1'-azo- benzol mit dem Anilid der 2.3-Oxyriaphthoe- säure vereinigt. Der neue Farbstoff stellt einen granat-roten Niederschlag dar.
Auf ge eigneten Substraten, wie zum Beispiel Baum wolle, hergestellt, färbt er diese in granat- roten Tönen mit vortreffliehen Echtheitseigen schaften. <I>Beispiel:</I> 30,5 Teile 4-Amino-2-chlor-5-äthoxy-ss-ox- methyl-1,1'-azobenzol werden wie üblich diazo- tiert und in eine Lösung von 26,3 Teilen 2.3- Oxynaphthoesäure-anilid, 50 Teilen 30%iger Natronlauge, 30 Teilen Soda und 2000 Teilen Wasser eingetragen. Der gebildete Farbstoff fällt sofort aus.
Der granat-rote Niederschlag wird filtriert und getrocknet.
