Planche à repasser. L'objet de la présente invention est une planche à repasser, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un chevalet auquel est articulée la planche proprement dite et sur lequel cette planche repose horizontalement, la planche proprement dite étant munie, à l'une de ses extrémités, d'une garniture incombustible et le tout étant disposé de façon que l'on puisse faire varier la hauteur de la planche pro prement dite au-dessus du sol.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention. La fig. 1 en est une vue de côté en élé vation, le chevalet étant en position de tra vail; La fig. 2 en est une vue de derrière, le chevalet étant replié sur la planche propre ment dite; La fig. 3 en est une vue de profil, cor respondant à, la position du chevalet à la fig. 2; La fig. 4 est une vue en coupe agrandie de celle des extrémités de la planche pro- prement dite qui est munie d'une garniture incombustible.
La planche à repasser représentée com porte la planche proprement dite 1 dont l'une des extrémités est munie de deux tenons 2 et 3, auxquels sont articulés, au moyen de pivots, les extrémités supérieures des mon tants 4 et 5 d'un premier cadre faisant partie du chevalet sur lequel la planche 1 repose horizontalement en position de travail.
Le chevalet présente un. deuxième cadre comportant les montants 6 et 7 articulés res pectivement aux montants: 4 et 5 au moyen des axes 8 et 9. Chaque montant d'un des cadres forme ainsi ciseaux avec le montant correspondant de l'autre cadre. Les montants 4 et 5, d'une part, et 6 et 7, d'autre part, sont réunis par des traverses 10 et 11, res pectivement 12 et 13.
En position de travail, les extrémités su périeures des montants 6 et 7, du deuxième cadre, prennent appui sur une des barres 14 figées au côté inférieur de la planche pro prement dite 1, la hauteur au-dessus du sol de la planche 1 dépendant de la barre sur laquelle prennent appui les extrémités supé rieures des montants 6 et 7.
A l'extrémité 15 de la planche proprement dite est fixée une garniture incombustible 19 laquelle com porte, en contact avec la planche 1, une pla que isolante 16, en amiante par exemple, puis sur celle-ci une feuille de tôle ondulée 17 destinée à répartir la chaleur dans la gar niture; ,sur la feuille 17 est disposée une deuxième plaque isolante 18 en éternit ou également en amiante, sur laquelle peut être déposé le fer à repasser lorsqu'il est chaud;
enfin, une bordure métallique 20; en laiton par exemple, est fixée autour de la garniture incombustible et comporte des orifices desti nés à la sortie de la chaleur contenue dans cette dernière.
Les deux cadres constituant le chevalet de la planche à repasser représentée, sont fer més et appliqués contre la planche propre ment dite 1 lorsque l'on n'utilise pas la plan che à repasser.
Ironing board. The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a side elevation view thereof, the easel being in the working position; Fig. 2 is a view from behind, the easel being folded over the board proper; Fig. 3 is a side view thereof, corresponding to the position of the easel in FIG. 2; Fig. 4 is an enlarged sectional view of that of the ends of the board itself which is provided with a non-combustible lining.
The ironing board shown comprises the actual board 1, one end of which is provided with two tenons 2 and 3, to which are articulated, by means of pivots, the upper ends of the uprights 4 and 5 of a first frame forming part of the easel on which the board 1 rests horizontally in the working position.
The easel presents a. second frame comprising the uprights 6 and 7 articulated respectively to the uprights: 4 and 5 by means of the axes 8 and 9. Each upright of one of the frames thus forms scissors with the corresponding upright of the other frame. The uprights 4 and 5, on the one hand, and 6 and 7, on the other hand, are joined by cross members 10 and 11, respectively 12 and 13.
In the working position, the upper ends of the uprights 6 and 7 of the second frame rest on one of the bars 14 fixed to the lower side of the board itself called 1, the height above the ground of the board 1 depending of the bar on which the upper ends of the uprights 6 and 7 rest.
At the end 15 of the board proper is fixed a non-combustible lining 19 which comprises, in contact with the board 1, an insulating board 16, made of asbestos for example, then on the latter a corrugated sheet 17 intended to distribute the heat in the filling; , on the sheet 17 is disposed a second insulating plate 18 in eternity or also in asbestos, on which can be deposited the iron when it is hot;
finally, a metal border 20; brass for example, is fixed around the non-combustible gasket and has orifices intended for the exit of the heat contained in the latter.
The two frames constituting the easel of the ironing board shown are ironed and applied against the actual board 1 when the ironing board is not used.
