. Canapé transformable en lit. L'objet de la présente invention est un canapé transformable en lit. Ce canapé com prend selon l'invention un châssis fixe et plusieurs éléments mobiles articulés les tins aux autres et dont l'un au moins est articulé au châssis au moyeu de pivots, ces élé ments mobiles formant en position dépliée le sommier d'un lit et l'un d'eux constituant, lorsqu'ils sont repliés, le dossier du canapé, ce dossier se rabattant vers l'avant du châs sis lorsqu'on veut transformer le canapé en lit, des pieds, des leviers articulés, des pièces d'appui et au moins une articulation de deux éléments mobiles par charnières étant prévus pour assurer les éléments mobiles en place dans leurs positions extrêmes.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'inven tion.
La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation du canapé; La fig. 2 montre une vue d'une coupe en élévation du canapé transformé en lit; La fig. 3 est une vue partielle en plan et partiellement en coupe du canapé trans- fomé en lit.
Le canapé représenté comporte un châssis fixe présentant des pieds 1, des traverses 2, des accoudoirs 3 et une paroi postérieure 4. Aux pieds avant du châssis est articulé au moyen de pivots 2 un élément mobile 6 ar ticulé, d'une part, à un élément mobile 5 destiné à former le traversin du sommier et, d'autre part, à un élément mobile médian 7 relié à un élément mobile extrême 8 par les charnières 10. Deux pieds mobiles 12 sont articulés à l'élément 8 au moyen des pivots 13. L'élément médian 7 est relié à l'élément 6 par les articulations 14. Les éléments 6, 7 et 8 sont formés par des cadres rigides présentant les traverses 15. Le traversin est articulé à l'élément 6 par les pivots 16. Des leviers 17 et 18 sont prévus pour main tenir le traversin 5 dans ses positions ex trêmes.
Les leviers 17 sont articulés par des pivots 19 aux traverses 2, et s'engagent par des nez 21 prévus à leurs autres extrémités dans des rainures 22 du traversin dans les- quelles ces nez peuvent coulisser. A chaque levier 17 s'articule en 20 un levier 18 arti culé à son autre extrémité en 23 à l'élément 6.
Deux pièces 24 montées rotativement sur les pivots 25 fixés aux traverses 2 comportent chacune un prolongement 26 sur lesquels repose l'élément médian 7 lorsque le canapé est utilisé comme tel. Cet élément 7 forme alors le siège du canapé. A l'élément mobile 8, qui, lorsque le canapé est utilisé comme tel, forme le dossier de ce dernier, sont fixées des pièces d'appui 11 qui, lorsque le canapé est utilisé comme tel, servent à assurer l'élé ment 8 en place en venant reposer sur des pièces en saillie 27 fixées à la paroi 4. Lors que le canapé est utilisé comme tel, l'élément 6 se rabat sur l'avant du châssis entre les pieds avant ce dernier.
Sur les figures du dessin, on a représenté la charpente du canapé saris la garniture (matelassage, tissus, recouvrement).
Pour transformer le canapé décrit en lit, il suffit de faire pivoter les éléments mobiles autour des pivots 9 en rabattant l'élément 8 dans la position horizontale vers l'avant du châssis fixe. Lié par les charnières 10 à l'élé ment 7, l'élément 8 entrafne ce dernier dans la position horizontale et celui-ci fait lui-même pivoter l'élément 6, qui fait aussi partie du sommier, dans la même position, les charnières 10 et les articulations 14 limitant le mou vement de pivotement. Les pieds 12 tournant librement sur les pivots 13 prennent auto matiquement la position verticale et soutien nent le sommier dans la position horizontale.
Entraîné par le pivotement de l'élément 6, le traversin 5 est remonté dans sa position éle vée représentée en fig. 2 et amené dans la position inclinée par l'action des leviers 17 et 18, les nez 21 glissant dans les rainures 22. Les pièces 24, dont les prolongements 26 ont rencontré le traversin 5, sont amenées dans la position inclinée. Le matelassage ainsi que la toile de lit sont alors visibles (fi g. 2 et 3).
En effectuant en sens inverse le mouvement décrit ci-dessus, on ramène les parties cons titutives dans la position représentée sur la fig. 1, correspondant à leur position lorsque le canapé est utilisé comme tel.
. Sofa convertible into bed. The object of the present invention is a sofa convertible into a bed. This sofa comprises according to the invention a fixed frame and several movable elements articulated the ends of the others and of which at least one is articulated to the frame by the hub of pivots, these movable elements forming in the unfolded position the base of a bed and one of them constituting, when folded, the back of the sofa, this backrest folding towards the front of the frame when you want to transform the sofa into a bed, feet, articulated levers, parts support and at least one articulation of two movable elements by hinges being provided to secure the movable elements in place in their extreme positions.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the sofa; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view in elevation of the sofa transformed into a bed; Fig. 3 is a partial plan view and partially in section of the sofa transformed into a bed.
The sofa shown has a fixed frame having legs 1, cross members 2, armrests 3 and a rear wall 4. At the front legs of the frame is articulated by means of pivots 2 a movable element 6 hinged, on the one hand, to a movable element 5 intended to form the bolster of the bed base and, on the other hand, to a median movable element 7 connected to an end movable element 8 by the hinges 10. Two movable feet 12 are articulated to the element 8 by means of the pivots 13. The middle element 7 is connected to the element 6 by the articulations 14. The elements 6, 7 and 8 are formed by rigid frames having the cross members 15. The bolster is articulated to the element 6 by the pivots 16. Levers 17 and 18 are provided to main hold the bolster 5 in its extreme positions.
The levers 17 are articulated by pivots 19 to the crosspieces 2, and engage by noses 21 provided at their other ends in grooves 22 of the bolster in which these noses can slide. At each lever 17 is articulated in 20 a lever 18 articulated at its other end in 23 to the element 6.
Two parts 24 rotatably mounted on the pivots 25 fixed to the crosspieces 2 each comprise an extension 26 on which the middle element 7 rests when the sofa is used as such. This element 7 then forms the seat of the sofa. To the movable element 8, which, when the sofa is used as such, forms the back of the latter, are fixed support pieces 11 which, when the sofa is used as such, serve to secure the element 8 in place by coming to rest on projecting parts 27 fixed to the wall 4. When the sofa is used as such, the element 6 folds down on the front of the frame between the feet before the latter.
In the figures of the drawing, the frame of the sofa is shown without the trim (quilting, fabrics, covering).
To transform the sofa described into a bed, it suffices to rotate the movable elements around the pivots 9 by folding the element 8 into the horizontal position towards the front of the fixed frame. Linked by the hinges 10 to the element 7, the element 8 drives the latter in the horizontal position and the latter itself rotates the element 6, which is also part of the bed base, in the same position, the hinges 10 and joints 14 limiting the pivoting movement. The feet 12 rotating freely on the pivots 13 automatically assume the vertical position and support the bed base in the horizontal position.
Driven by the pivoting of the element 6, the bolster 5 is reassembled in its raised position shown in FIG. 2 and brought into the inclined position by the action of the levers 17 and 18, the noses 21 sliding in the grooves 22. The parts 24, the extensions 26 of which have met the bolster 5, are brought into the inclined position. The quilting as well as the bed canvas are then visible (fi g. 2 and 3).
By performing the movement described above in the opposite direction, the constituent parts are brought back to the position shown in FIG. 1, corresponding to their position when the sofa is used as such.
