Ricbtnngsanzeige-Einrichtung an Motorrädern.
Direction display device on motorcycles. The present invention relates to a device on motorcycles which is used to display the direction of travel and has a signal lamp provided outside each of the two handle parts of the motorcycle handlebar.
When mounting devices of the above-mentioned type on motorcycles, one encounters considerable difficulties, especially when it comes to motorcycles in which certain control levers (e.g. compression, brake or clutch levers) are on the extreme end share the handlebar and the cables attached to these control levers are passed through the cavity of the tubular handlebar.
The present invention aims to remedy these mounting difficulties. It is characterized in that a support piece is fastened to each of the two handlebar ends, which has a projection on the side of the handle part in question facing forward with respect to the direction of travel, to which the signal lamp is attached by means of a screw bolt.
If you are dealing with motorcycles with levers arranged in the above .Weise, so the discharge part of said support piece can also serve as a bearing part on which see the relevant control lever by means of the screw serving to fasten the signal lamp rotatable can be stored.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown.
1 shows, in perspective view, seen from above, the front part of a motorcycle provided with a direction indicator device; Fig. 2 is a ge on a larger scale drawn front view of the one provided with a signal lamp handle part of the motorcycle handlebar; FIG. 3 is a cross section through the signal lamp in FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 is the circuit diagram of the direction display device shown in FIG.
A (Fig. 1) is the tubular handlebars of the partially drawn motorcycle, and b are their discharge arms, which carry handles made of rubber c. Outside these handles c, an electrical signal lamp e is attached to each of the free end parts of the unloading arms b. These signal lamps e are each provided with a protective housing d (Figure 2), which has openings facing forward and rearward on two opposite sides, which are expediently accommodated in the interior of the housing d, for.
B. red colored glass envelope d '(Fig.3) are covered. f (Fig.1) is a power switch here near the left handle c on the corresponding Ausladearm b be strengthened, which can be operated with the thumb of the left hand in a convenient manner. Of course, the power switch f could just as well be provided on the right-hand discharge arm b of the handlebar A.
To attach the signal lamps e on the end parts of the discharge arms b is a support piece m, which is provided on its side corresponding to the finger side of the hand when you grip the handle c with a discharge part m ', on which the signal lamp e. is fastened by means of a screw bolt n in the manner shown in FIG. According to Fig. 2, the body provided with radial ribs of the support piece 7n is set in the tube opening of the handlebar end part and there, for example, welded to the tube wall by Ver.
The carrier piece 7n can, however, as has been assumed in FIG. 1, have the form of a pipe clamp which is pushed onto the handlebar end part and made stationary there by a screw bolt and associated nut. In the event that, as in the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a motorcycle of the type mentioned at the beginning with mounted on the outermost end parts of the handlebar, control levers g (z.
B. compression, brake or clutch lever) acts, the unloading part in 'of the carrier piece in at the same time as a bearing part on which the relevant control lever g means of the screw bolt n is rotatably superimposed in the manner shown in Fig. 2 GE. The support piece in thus allows, thanks to its special design, to attach the signal lamps e to the handlebar ends in a relatively simple manner, despite the control levers g that prevent the latter from being mounted.
In Fig. 4 the circuit diagram of the direction display device shown in Fig. 1 is shown. According to this scheme, the positive pole of the battery B of the motorcycle is connected to the axis of rotation of the contact arm k of the switch f via the connection point h of the motorcycle lamp i .
The contact arm k is usually located; b. when the motorcyclist travels in a straight line, in the position shown in Fig. 4, in wel cher he comes neither with one nor with the other of two contact points of the scarf f in contact and thus neither one nor the other in correspondingly with the two switch contact points electrically connected signal lamps e in the circuit of the battery B turns on.
If the motorcyclist wants to change his direction of travel, to the left or to the right, he rotates the insulating lever o firmly connected to the contact arm k with his thumb to the corresponding side and thereby brings the left or right. the right signal lamp e to light up, whereby light rays are thrown forwards and backwards through the openings in the housing (l.
