Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren Farbstoffes. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatzpa tentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren Farbstoffes, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man 1 Mol p-Sulfo- benzaldehyd mit 2 Mol durch Sulfonierung von N-Methyl-a-methylindol hergestellter N-Methyl-a-methylindol-6-sulf osäure konden siert, die so erhaltene Leukosulfosäure - mit Oxydationsmitteln behandelt und das Oxyda tionsprodukt mit p-Anisidin umsetzt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 1 Mol p-Sulfobenzaldehyd wird mit 2 Mol durch Sulfonierung von N-Methyl-a- methylindol hergestellter N-Methyl-a-me- thylindol-6-sulfosäure in Wasser durch mehrstündiges Erhitzen kondensiert und die so erhaltene Leukolösung mit Schwefelsäure angesäuert und mit Bichromat zum Farb stoff oxydiert.
Der Farbstoff wird als Na triumsalz isoliert und mehrere Stunden mit überschüssigem p-Anisidin auf 120' C er- hitzt. Der so erhaltene Farbstoff hat fol gende Konstitution:

Er färbt Wolle und Seide in klaren rotsti- chig blauen Tönen von hervorragender Lichtechtheit. An Stelle des Bichromats kann man auch Mangandioxyd als Oxyda tionsmittel verwenden.
