Fig. 1 est une vue verticale, en partie coupée, de la trémie d'alimentation des fu seaux et du disque portant lesdits fuseaux pendant l'application des bobines; Fig. 2 est une vue verticale du trans porteur à chaîne des bobines et du dispositif effectuant leur application sur les fuseaux; dans cette vue on aperrgoit aussi dans un plan arriérA, le disque à fuseaux; Fig. 3 est le détail d'un mécanisme d'en traînement pas à pas reliant le disque à fuseaux au transporteur à bobines;
Automatic polishing device applying the coils on the spindles for looms. The object of the invention is an apparatus for applying the spools to spindles for weaving looms, this apparatus being characterized by a spindle conveying disc provided, at its periphery, with splines equidistant from one another, and arranged for advance step by step, driving the spindles of a feed hopper, descended one by one in said grooves, the spindles being held in cantilever by plates and jaws gripping their heads, said disc being associated with a spool threading device,
receiving the reels of a chain conveyor which advances step by step, and performing a back and forth movement with each step of the conveying disc, to thread, during its advance, a reel on one of the spindles and at the same time pressing the spool already threaded onto another spindle which has previously advanced one step.
The appended drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, the various parts of an embodiment of the apparatus, which are intended to be arranged along the bed of a loom, in parallel planes. between them and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said bank.
Fig. 1 is a vertical view, in part cut away, of the feed hopper of the barrels and of the disc carrying said spindles during the application of the coils; Fig. 2 is a vertical view of the chain conveyor for the reels and of the device carrying out their application on the spindles; in this view we also see in a rear plane, the spindle disc; Fig. 3 is the detail of a step-by-step drive mechanism connecting the spindle disc to the spool conveyor;
Fig. 4 and 5 show the vertical section of the jaws gripping each reel during the application operation on the corresponding spindle, in its two positions, or green and closed; Fig. 6 is a longitudinal section thereof; Fig. 7 is a horizontal section of the positive threader device on the spindles.
Before describing the arrangement and operation of the apparatus shown, it should be remembered that the spindles of the weaving looms consist of a conical rod provided at its thicker end with a head shaped laterally into a cylinder with peripheral grooves. The coils are cylindrical with their two tapered ends, and they have a longitudinal hole, in which the rod of the spindles can enter.
As can be seen in fig. 1, the apparatus comprises a hopper A with inclined walls B, along which the spindles C descend by gravity until they reach an outlet mouth D. The lower spindle falls into an empty groove 1 of a disk E which rotates step by step in the direction of arrow 9; the next spindle is retained in the hopper first by the spindle which is already lodged in the groove of the disc E; afterwards, during the advancement of this disc, it is retained by the edge of the disc; at the end of the advancement step, it in turn falls into the groove 8 which has taken the place of the groove 1, and so on.
The spindle, housed in the groove 1 during the next step of the disc, is held overhang by a plate G gripping its head, this plate being pushed by springs G 'against the periphery of the disc E. The spindle , held in the groove 2, receives a coil in the manner which will be described below. During the next step, the spindle carrying the barely threaded spool, is retained first by the plate G and then by a spring-loaded jaw H, covering the groove 3, while the spool is pressed and tightened on the spindle, as described below. During the next step, the filled spindle remains free and falls, during its passage from position (3) to position (4), into a basket or onto any conveyor.
In another transverse vertical plane of the machine is arranged a coil conveyor shown in FIG. 2, the latter being provided with an intermittent advancement mechanism, controlled by the disk E; in this same plane is a mechanism effecting in two stages the application of the coils on the spindles, and which is driven by a back and forth movement by the motor shaft of the machine.
The reel conveyor comprises a chain L provided with cells 11T each suitable for receiving a reel; this chain passes over two toothed wheels N-N ', one of which, N', is crazy and the other, N, is integral with a ratchet wheel 0, shown in fig . 3. The chain advances between two cheeks I, which prevent the reels from coming out of their socket. The intermittent advance of the chain is controlled by the ratchet wheel 0 which is integral with the toothed wheel N and coaxial with the latter, the latter in turn being controlled by the mechanism shown in FIG. 3.
This mechanism comprises a pawl P, pivoting at the end of an angled lever Q provided with a shank, on which each of the spindles carried by the disc E strikes, when the latter advances by one step of the position 1 to position 2. Consequently, the spool chain takes one step at each passage of a spindle, and on the contrary it remains im mobile, if the spindle disc, while rotating, does not bring spindles. The spool with a hole in the cell falls, passing through the lower branch of the chain, between two jaws R of a spool threading device shown in fig. 2 and 4 to 7.
The jaws R are arranged on the upper side of the bobbin threader device, and slidably mounted in transverse guides, so that each of them can perform a reciprocating movement in the horizontal direction and in the opposite direction to the horizontal direction. other.
The space existing between these two jaws is exactly centered with the groove 2 of the disc E The jaws are separated from each other when a spool falls from the chain L (fig. 2 and 4) and they tighten immediately afterwards by the effect of d 'a command which is described below. The bobbin threader device also comprises a piston Z, controlled by a connecting rod 10 which is actuated by means not shown.
This piston can move a limited distance in a cylindrical cavity 11 formed in a part T slidably mounted on two longitudinal rods U A shoulder 12 limits the stroke of the piston Z, which however continues to advance by dragging the part T with it. , which in the receding movement of the piston Z is pushed back by the action of a collar 13 formed in said piston. During the back-and-forth movement of the part T, the arms S produce, for example using cams not shown, the reciprocating movement of the above-described jaws which enter the coils.
The piston Z is exactly aligned with the groove 3 of the spindle disc E; it is provided with a cylindrical cavity, in which is housed a follower Y, pushed by a spring 14 and having a conical mouth 15, affecting the end shape of the coils.
In the back and forth movement of the entire spool threader device, even the action of the connecting rod 10 and by sliding on the guides U, a spool gripped by the jaws R is threaded onto the spindle housed in the groove 2 of the disk E, while, simultaneously, the follower Y presses and compresses the coil previously threaded on the spindle having advanced from 2 to 3; the device then moves back, leaving a spool threaded on the spindle 2 and a spool modeled on the spindle 3.
The disc E moves forward with a cry, dropping the filled spindle into the basket and carrying a new spindle in 3, on which is simply threaded a spool, and cry 2 a bare spindle, which had previously been lowered into the disc E in position 1. In its advancement, this spindle hits the lever Q and advances the chain L, by one step, dropping a spool between the jaws R. The operation described continues until the exhaustion of the spindles to be filled and the coils.
