Description
Fig. 3 zeigt die An sicht einer Zeltwand.
Tent wall with air chambers. Tent walls and tent roofs made of cloth have the disadvantage that they let cold and warmth through easily. However, all insulation materials are a hindrance when they have to be transported, since they require space and increase weight. The aim of the invention is to use air as an insulation means by making the tent wall made of double or multiple tent fabric which is airtight and forms chambers which can be inflated.
Fig. 1 shows, for example, a section of such a tent wall. 1 is the outer tent fabric, 2 the inner one, which is connected to the outer tent fabric at 3, but not in a tight line, but in such a way that air can pass from one air chamber 5 into the air chamber 6. 4 is a valve for inlet and outlet of the air. Fig. 2 shows a tent wall in section with chambers lying one above the other. Air can pass from chambers A into chambers B through openings 5. In Fig. 3, the wall of chamber B is connected to that of chamber A. With this tent wall, air isolates the interior of the tent from the air outside. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, lines occur at 3 in which only material lies between the air in the open air and that in the tent.
Fig. 3 shows the view of a tent wall. 4 is the valve. B are the individual chambers. 3 shows the square delimitation of these chambers.
Other geometric figures as a limitation are also possible. The main thing is that the tent wall is quilted, i.e. H. is divided into many individual chambers. C shows in dotted lines how chambers A (FIG. 2) come to rest on chambers B. The advantages of this tent wall are: light weight, little space required in the transport state and great insulation ability against cold and heat. Furthermore, such tent walls can also be used as a raft for crossing waterways when the chambers are inflated with air. The tent poles can then be attached to the wall in such a way that they give the whole raft the necessary support.
