  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren     Triphenyl-methanfarbstofes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu sauren       Triphenylmethanfarbstoffen,    die sich durch  eine ganz hervorragende Lichtechtheit, klare  Nuance und vorzügliche Abendfarbe aus  zeichnen, gelangt, wenn man     4.4'-Di-halo-          genbenzophenone    oder     4.4'-Di-alkoxy-ben-          zophenone    mit     a-substituierten        Indolen    kon  densiert, dann die in     4.4'-Stellung    befind  lichen Halogenatome,     bezw.        Alkoxygruppen     mit primären aromatischen Aminen,

   die in       p-Stellung    zur     Aminogruppe    eine     Alkoxy-          gruppe    enthalten, unter Freiwerden von Ha  logenwasserstoff,     bezw.    des entsprechenden  Alkohols umsetzt und hierauf     sulfiert.     



  Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren     Tri-          phenylmethanfarbstoffes,    welches darin be  steht, dass man 4.     4'-Dichlorbenzophenon    mit       N-methyl-a-phenylindol    kondensiert, dann  in dem so erhaltenen Kondensationsprodukt  die in 4- und     V-Stellung    befindlichen Chlor-         atome    mit     p-Phenetidin    umsetzt und die so  erhaltene Verbindung     sulfiert.     



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  25 Gewichtsteile 4.     4'-Dichlorbenzophenon     werden mit 22 Gewichtsteilen     N-methyl-a-          phenylindol    bei Gegenwart von 20 Gewichts  teilen     Phosphoroxychlorid    durch     mehrstiindi-          ges    Kochen in 100 Gewichtsteilen     Toluol     kondensiert. Nach     Abdestillieren    des     Toluols     und des noch vorhandenen     Phosphoroxychlo-          rids    wird das Kondensationsprodukt 4 Stun  den mit 60 Gewichtsteilen     p-Phenetidin    bei  120   verschmolzen.

   Das überschüssige     p-Phe-          netidin    wird nach dem Erkalten der Schmelze  durch     Ausrühren    mit verdünnter Salzsäure,  worin der entstandene blaue basische Farb  stoff unlöslich ist, entfernt, und letzterer  nach dem Trocknen mit Schwefelsäure     sul-          fiert.    Man erhält auf diese Weise einen sauren  Farbstoff folgender Formel:

    der als Na-Salz Wolle und Seide in leuch  tend blauen Tönen anfärbt, die sich durch  eine hervorragende Lichtechtheit und vor  zügliche Abendfarbe auszeichnen.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren Triphenylmethanfarbstoffes, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man 4.4'-Dichlorbenzophenon mit N-methyl-a-phenylindol kondensiert, dann in dem so erhaltenen Kondensationsprodukt die in 4- und 4'-Stellung befindlichen Chlor atome mit p-Phenetidin umsetzt und die so erhaltene Verbindung sulfiert. Die so erhaltene Farbstoffdisulfosäure färbt als Natriumsalz Wolle und Seide in leuchtend blauen Tönen, die sich durch her- vorragende Lichtechtheit und vorzügliche Abendfarbe auszeichnen. UNTERANSPRÜCHE: 1.
