Au haut de cet arbre 36a (fig.9, 10, 11) se trouve une roue dentée 36 pouvant être mise en rotation par une chaîne à rouleau 34 travaillant à la poussée et passant pour cela dans un guide rectiligne-curviligne 34a; l'entraînement de la roue 36 par la chaîne 34 a lieu au moyen d'un dispositif 35 fixé à l'une des extrémités de celle-ci et compor tant une dent 35a taillée en biseau, péné trant dans les entredents de 36 sous l'action d'un ressort 35b;
Distributor of newspapers, magazines, books, etc. The object of the invention is a distributor of newspapers, magazines, books, etc.
It is characterized by the fact that it comprises: a pneumatic mechanism used to enter the objects to be distributed one by one arranged in a stack.
an automatic expulsion mechanism to which the pneumatic mechanism brings the seized objects.
a mechanism supporting the. stack objects and serving to automatically maintain the top of this stack at a substantially constant height so that the pneumatic mechanism can grip them.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the distributor, operated by hand using a crank and used for the distribution of magazines.
Figs. 1, \ ?, 3 are a front view, a left side elevation, a plan; Figs. 4 to 19 relate to details.
The journals to be distributed, not shown, are placed in a stack on a tray 41 (fig. 1, \ ?, 3) rising the thickness of a journal each time a journal is distributed, so that the top of the stack is always at the same height. It is supported at. this effect by three non-rotating nuts 40, 44 arranged on three vertical screws 39, 42 capable of rotating simultaneously, each around its axis, and connected by a chain 43 passing over toothed wheels 43a located at their lower end.
The screw 39 is integral at its upper end with three toothed wheels 38 (see also FIGS. 9, 10, 11) of different diameters, one of which is engaged with a toothed wheel 37 keyed on a vertical shaft 36a; by replacing the wheel 37 shown of small diameter by a wheel 37 of larger diameter and by making it mesh with one of the toothed wheels 38 of small diameter, it is possible to vary the transmission ratio between the shaft 36a and the screw 39.
At the top of this shaft 36a (fig.9, 10, 11) is a toothed wheel 36 which can be rotated by a roller chain 34 working at the thrust and passing for this in a rectilinear-curvilinear guide 34a; the drive of the wheel 36 by the chain 34 takes place by means of a device 35 fixed to one end of the latter and comprising a tooth 35a cut in a bevel, penetrating into the entredents 36 under the action of a spring 35b;
when the chain 34 moves in the direction opposite to that of clockwise movement, it turns the wheel 36 in the same direction; when it moves in the same direction as the needles, the tooth 35a, as a result of its bevel, jumps from tooth to tooth of the wheel 36 without driving the latter. At the other end of the chain 34 is an axis 31 (see also Figs. 1 and 3), provided with a roller 32 and connected to two links 30 articulated by a vertical axis 28 on a horizontal axis 26 moving the along a horizontal guide 27 directed from front to back.
The two ends of the axle 26 are attacked by two connecting rods 25 (see also Figs. 16, 18, 19) pivoted on plates 11, 12 (see also Fig. 2) wedged on a horizontal shaft 11a carrying a wheel chain 5. This is rotated by the crank 1, toothed wheels 2, 3, a chain wheel 4, a chain 20. The distance of the pivot joints of the connecting rods 25 on the plates 11, 12 is adjustable. , so that the stroke of chain 34 can be adjusted for a given amplitude movement of crank 1.
The possibility of adjusting the position of the pivot points of the connecting rods 25 and the possibility of engaging wheels 37, 38 of different diameters, make it possible to vary the elevation of the plate 41 at each turn of the crank 1 according to the thickness of magazines to be distributed.
If we return the tooth 35a in the positive device 35, it drives the wheel 36 when the links 30 pull on the chain 34, instead of pushing it, and jumps from tooth to tooth of this wheel 36 when the links 30 push. this chain. The plate 41 therefore goes down instead of going up to. each turn of the crank 1. By moving the tooth 35a away from the wheel 36 and keeping it apart, the wheel 36 is released from the crank 1 and the screws 39, 42 can be turned by hand in one direction or in the other.
The pneumatic mechanism taking the magazines one by one from the stack located on the plate 41 and bringing them to the expelling mechanism comprises two suction cups 9, made of rubber for example (fig. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15) engaging the magazines and carried by two arms 9a; the latter can rotate and slide on an axis 16; means are provided for adjusting their spacing thereon.
The suction cups 9 are linked to a common bar 47 serving to make them perform an angular movement around the axis 16 and actuated by a rod 48 rotating on a crank pin 46 (see also FIG. 16) of a wheel. chain 23 wedged on the shaft of the crank 1 and of the toothed wheel 2: at each turn of the crank 1, the suction cups 9 go down and up.
The desired suction is produced in the suction cups 9 by a pump 7 (fig. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and is transmitted to them by flexible pipes 8. The pump 7 has a cylinder 7a open at its upper part. , as well as a piston 7b connected to a horizontal cross member 7c passing in slides 7d of the cylinder 7a and carried by links 15 articulated on cranks 15a of a shaft 15b rotating in fixed arms 15c. The shaft 15b receives the rotational movement necessary for the actuation of the piston 7b, of the shaft 11a (see also figs. 16, 17, 18)
of the plate 12 by means of a straight line arm 14 acting on the crank pin of one of the cranks 15a and rotating on a pivot 18, as well as an arm 13 in the form of a U rotating on the pivot 18 , connected to the arm 14 and dragged by a crank 17 of the shaft 11a; the shafts 15b, 11a, the pivot 18 are coaxial; the two arms 13 and 14 are rigidly connected. to each other in normal times; their connection is such, however, that their relative angular position can be modified to vary the moment when the pump 7 produces the suction in the suction cups 8 during one revolution of the crank 1.
The mechanism used to expel from the distributor the magazines that the suction cups 8 bring to it comprises a plate 51 (fig. 12, 13, 14, 15) normally closing a window not shown in the casing of the distributor. The plate 51 is pivoted at 52 and carries for its operation a part 54 on which is articulated a rod 55 connected to one of the suction cups 8.
When these are in the rest position (fig. 15), the plate 51 closes the expulsion window; when they rise with the magazine seized, they bring it> to this plate 51; as a result of this movement the plate 51 and the magazine approach a roller 49 which turns quickly and expels the journal by sliding it to 51.
The roller 49 has roughness, is made, for example, of rubber and carboy with its axis 50 thanks to. one wheel at. chain 53, to a chain 53a and to an idle chain wheel 16a on the axle 16 (see also fig. 6, 7); the. wheel 16a is integral with a wheel 6 rotated by a chain 24 passing over wheel 23 (see also FIG. 16) which is actuated by crank 1.
The position of the roller 49 can be adjusted vertically and horizontally, so as to adapt it to objects of various thicknesses.
Means, not shown, are provided so that the crank 1 can only be turned one revolution at a time; these means can be, for example, analogous to those used in a number of prepaid devices.
The operation of the form of execution shown is as follows: When a person wishes to receive a magazine from the distributor, he turns the crank 1.
The suction cups 9 are lowered and come into contact with the magazine located at the top of the stack on the plate 41, 1a. grasp thanks to the suction then produced by the pump 7, then rise with it and bring it into contact with the wafer 51 which approaches the roller 49; the magazine caught between the 5: 1 wafer and the roller 49 is expelled from the dispenser by the rotation of the latter while sliding on 51.
During this time the screws 39, 42 have rotated around their axes and raised the plate 41 to the thickness of a magazine.
At the end of the considered turn of crank 1, the distributor is thus ready to provide a second review and so on.
There could be more than two suction cups 9. One could use only the screw 39 without the screws 42.
The pump 7 could be replaced by another device producing the desired operation.
The suction cup (s) 9, the plate 41, the expulsion mechanism could be ordered otherwise than has been indicated.
Instead of the various parts of the distributor being actuated by the crank 1, they could be operated by a motor, an electric motor for example.
The distributor could be used to provide items other than magazines, books, newspapers for example.
