Ressort avee porte-ressort.
Le ressort al est ici découpé dans une plaque de métal la miné, et fixé dans son emplacement en même temps que le porte-ressort l'est en place par une seule et même vis f=<B>qui</B> traverse le porte-ressort. Pour éviter des ennuis lors d'un démontage, il suffit, le ressort étant ajusté en longueur, de le sertir avec un pointeau coni que introduit dans le trou de vis; Dans les fig. 7 et 7a, la fixation du res sort a dans le porte-ressort c s'opère, après la mise de longueur, par sertissage. La vis f\ traverse ici aussi le porte-ressort, mais n'ap puie pas sur le ressort a comme dans l'exem ple précédent;
Spring with spring carrier. It is often essential, in clockwork, that a spring-jumper and even a simple spring have an exact length and can <B>,. </B> i be stretched exactly. It suffices that a # uss (these conditions not. Be fulfilled for the mechanism to which this spring belongs to function badly. The excessive braking, which a too strong jumper spring causes, has. A: disastrous influence on the adjustment of the clockwork movement.
If this mechanism operates intermittently, which is quite often the case in the case of a clockwork movement with jumping hours, calendar, etc., it is essential for proper operation (the it shows that the amplitude of the ba lancer varies as little as possible when the mechanism is in action.
These springs, jumpers or others, usually made of hardened steel, are fixed to the frame of the movement by a screw and oriented by means of one or more feet. When the. function of a spring-jumper requires that it be shorter or longer, in order to modify the position of the point (the jumper, for example, 1- mer then repolish either one or the other of its inclined planes This operation will modify the pressure of the jumper spring which must be readjusted.
To lengthen the jumper, you can also forge your blade, but it is an expensive operation which is not. easy and during which we risk breaking the spell.
In all cases, it is very expensive .de to develop, by the aforementioned means, a mechanism in which the jumper spring or springs do not have the desired pressure or are either too short or too long. As a result, these re-touches of the spring or springs, necessitated by the inaccuracy of the parts or functions of the mechanism, are too often left to me, even in neat parts. When it comes to series mechanisms where the worker is not qualified and not remunerated for such alterations, they are not done at all.
In chronographs, the same drawbacks are encountered with certain springs which must perform important functions: for example, with the brake spring whose friction must be properly adjusted and with the jumper spring whose. function must be very exact and its pressure reduced to a minimum.
In all these springs, the thickness of the blade is very important, because it is above all that depends on the bandage of the spring. In stamping these springs, it is not only very difficult to achieve a very even thickness, but it is almost impossible to get them out to the desired thickness. One is then obliged to finish them by wise milling or by grinding, an operation which is all the more difficult and expensive as the blade is thinner. Below a certain dimension, it is even necessary to bring them to the desired thickness by a smoothing. The object of the invention is to create a spring and to fix it so that the whole can be easily adjusted.
function of a clockwork mechanism having one or more springs or jumper springs, which must have a well-determined length and degree of winding.
The object of the invention is a spring with a spring holder, characterized in that the spring has a part of constant section which can slide and be fixed after its length adjustment in a groove of the spring holder, the latter being furthermore - Shaped so as to be able to be oriented and then fixed to the frame of a clockwork movement when the spring has the desired degree of tire pressure.
A very appreciable advantage of the spring with spring carrier according to the invention consists in that one can use for the spring drawn round wire or rolled wire, the dimensions of which can be guaranteed whatever the diameter or thickness. . With this perfectly polished wire, we can shape the -two clinkers of the jumper with a device combined with the length setting.
The drawing shows various examples of embodiments of a spring with a spring carrier according to the invention.
Figs. 1 and show in elevation and in plan a first form of spring carrier with spring. The spring a formed by a laminated wire is held in a slot b clearly visible in fig. 2, of the spring holder c by thin screw c.
The spring holder pivots in a recess d of the frame to which it is fixed by the pressure of the head of the screw f whose axis is parallel to the axis of rotation of the spring holder; Fig. ? shows the spring carrier alone, in plan; _ Fig. 3 shows in axial section a spring with a spring carrier similar to the previous one. The spring holder c pivots in a hole in the frame to which it is fixed by the pressure of a screw f with bevelled head.
This spring carrier will be used, for example, as well as that of FIG. 4 when the limited space available in the frame does not allow the use of that of FIG. 1; Fig. 4 is a section similar to the preceding ones. The spring holder c pivots in a hole in the frame and is fixed to the latter by a screw whose axis is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the spring holder.
In the same fi gure, it is drawn in dotted lines a screw f 1 having its axis coaxial with that of the axis of rotation of the spring carrier and which can also be used for fixing the latter; Figs. 5 and 5a show in plan and in axial section the holding of the spring holder e operated by a fixing spring g with two branches engaging in a circular groove of the spring holder and clamped on the frame e by a screw h; Figs. 6 and 6a show in elevation and in plan an embodiment somewhat different from that of FIGS. 1 and the.
The spring al is here cut from a metal plate, and fixed in its location at the same time as the spring holder is in place by a single screw f = <B> which </B> crosses the spring holder. To avoid trouble during disassembly, it suffices, the spring being adjusted in length, to crimp it with a needle cone inserted in the screw hole; In fig. 7 and 7a, the fixing of the res out a in the spring holder c takes place, after the length adjustment, by crimping. The screw f \ here also passes through the spring holder, but does not press on the spring a as in the previous example;
In fig. 8 and 8a, the spring is fixed in its location by a screw head a2. The spring carrier pivots around a barrel i driven into the frame and on which it is fixed by a screw f; Figs. J and 9a show an assembly in which the spring a -is fixed in its em placement by a screw z. The pdrtc-spring is fixed to the frame by the pressure in the recess (the six elastic tabs 11 that it has at its lower part:
Fig. 10 is a section showing an arrangement similar to the previous one, but where the spring holder pivots in a hole in the frame by means of two tabs 1, going hard <B> (-Il </B> obtained by splitting the holder- spring having a diameter: Fig. 11 shows in section an example resembling that of fig. 8, but in which the spring a is fixed in its place to the spring holder e by crimping, <after setting length.
The spring holder is here returned in place by a recess e3 with a conical bottom in which the sharp edge c "of the spring holder c is located. By tightening the screw f3, the spring holder is locked in place; La. Fi- . 12 shows the shape that could be given to a jumper spring, made with wire spring, to give its point more rigidity., Its end is curved at a \ and rests at a3 against the blade - spring.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 13, the spring-jumper is in two parts: the spring-wire carries, fixed by a kind of wise crimping, a small plate comprising the ends of the jumper. This way of doing things can be advantageously used when there is a fear of sagging the inclines, the clear blade coming out being very thin. This system will still find its use when the jumper must be antimagnetic or for reasons of friction.
In fig. 14, it is shown how a spring carrier c <B> '</B> can be locked in place in a case vii, for example, the screw f' cannot be easily reached after it has been used. lisée pont- la. setting the length of the spring a. A screw f taking in a central tapping of the spring carrier rests with its large head on a spring washer r whose outer edges rest on the plate e.
By releasing the tension of this screw f ", the spring holder e can be made to oscillate in order to adjust the force of the spring a.
In all embodiments, a stretched or lapped wire of exact dimensions can be used as the spring. It follows that springs of the same active length and ban d to the same degree, have the same elastic force. So that it remains constant from one mechanism to another, we can therefore, on the frames where the spring carriers are. fixed, mark, before installation, a mark with which must correspond, for example the tip .du free spring or jumper, the free blade. When reassembling, it is then sufficient to rotate the spring holder until the tip of the jumper or free spring coincides with the mark.
When the mechanism must: be disassembled for cleaning or repair, it is only necessary to release the spring holder without touching the fixing of the spring to the spring holder. To avoid touching the screw: fixing the spring when the function of the spring is in focus, it is possible, in the screw-spring locking devices, to use screws without slot with cylindrical head or head: form.
Looking at figs. 1, 3, 4, 5a, 6, 7a, etc., it can be seen that this type of spring holder allows the spring to be placed very easily: at the height assigned to it by its function.
