Watch movement. The object of the present invention is a watch movement of the type comprising a revolution counter pinion, which is placed in the center of the movement and is not part of the gear train, connecting the barrel to the escapement. This movement is characterized in that the wheel of this train, adjacent to the barrel, is arranged so that its horizontal projection contains that of the pinion.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof, while FIG. 2 is a section through II-II of FIG. 1.
The movement shown, of generally rectangular shape, comprises a barrel 1, the teeth of which mesh with a revolution counter pinion 2 and another pinion 3; pinion 2 is mounted in the center of the movement and carries the roadway and the usual hour and minute hands. On the pinion axis 3 is mounted the medium-sized wheel 4, meshing with the pinion 5 of the small-medium wheel 6, which itself meshes with the pinion 7 of the field wheel 8. The latter controls , in turn, the pinion 9 of the escape wheel, cooperating with an escapement not shown.
The winding and time-setting mechanism is arranged between the upper edge of the movement and the pinion 2, but the pinion 3 is arranged between this derizier and the lower edge of the movement; the diameter of the large average wheel is, moreover, such that the horizontal projection of this wheel contains that of the pinion 2. In this way, a finishing can be used and, in particular, a large average wheel, of large dimension .
The pinion 2 is mounted between the plate 10 and a special bridge 11. A day 12 is provided between the roadway 13, carried by the axis of the pinion 2, and the plate 10, and a larger day 14 is formed between the pi - gnon 2 and soli bridge 11, this last day re closing a leaf spring 16 pressed between the pinion and the bridge.
In this way, when the hour and minute hands are mounted on the pinion 2 axis, the carriageway 13 comes to rest on the plate 10 before the pinion 2 rests on the bridge 11, which is thus finds itself safe from excessive efforts; when the assembly is finished, the spring 16 returns the various parts to their normal position; moreover, this spring acts as a brake and eliminates the gearing to which, otherwise, the pinion 2 would be subjected, because it is in engagement with the barrel only.
Of course, the invention is not limited to what is shown in the drawing. In particular, it is not necessary to provide a special titi bridge for the counter pinion. In addition, if it is necessary to move the barrel 1 further to the right, an intermediate pinion can be placed between the crown wheel and the barrel ratchet 17; in this case, the pinion 2, instead of meshing directly with the barrel, may mesh with the pinion 3 and a return, intended to change the direction of movement, may be interposed, somewhere, between the pinion 3 and the exhaust.
