Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen als Reservierungsmittel verwendbaren Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues Kondensationsprodukt erhält, wenn man 1 Mol Benzoin und 1 Mol 2 - Oxynaphthalin - 3,6- disulfosäure kondensiert.
Das neue Produkt bildet ein helles Pul ver, das sich in Wasser leicht löst. Es ist durch seine Affinität zur tierischen Faser aus gezeichnet und soll zum Reservieren der Wolle gegenüber Farbstoffen der verschiedensten Klassen oder als Egalisierungsmittel verwen det werden, Beispiel: 40 Teile technisches 2 - naphthol- 3,6 - di- sulfosaures Natrium werden in 250 Teilen konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gelöst. Hierauf trägt man zwischen 20--400 unter gutem Rühren 20-25 Teile Benzoin ein.
Nach einigem Stehen verdünnt man mit etwa 250 Teilen Eis, filtriert und wäscht gegebenen falls mit Chlornatriumlösung etwas nach. Der Rückstand wird dann in Wasser gelöst, mit Natriumcarbonat oder -hydroxyd neutralisiert und, wenn nötig, von Verunreinigungen ab filtriert. Das neue Produkt kann durch Ver setzen dieser klaren Lösung mit Chlornatrium oder andern ähnlich wirkenden Salzen isoliert werden. Hierauf wird getrocknet und pul verisiert.
Die Aufarbeitung kann jedoch auch so vor sich gehen, dass man die mit viel Wasser verdünnte saure Kondensationsmasse mit Cal- ciumearbonat oder -hydroxyd neutralisiert und nach dem Abfiltrieren von Caleiumsulfat mit Natriumcarbonat in das Natriumshlz umsetzt.
Process for the preparation of a new condensation product which can be used as a reservation agent. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained when 1 mol of benzoin and 1 mol of 2-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid are condensed.
The new product forms a light-colored powder that easily dissolves in water. It is characterized by its affinity for animal fibers and should be used to reserve the wool against dyes of various classes or as a leveling agent, example: 40 parts of technical 2 - naphthol - 3,6 - disulphonic acid are more concentrated in 250 parts Dissolved sulfuric acid. 20-25 parts of benzoin are then added with good stirring between 20-400 parts.
After standing for a while, it is diluted with about 250 parts of ice, filtered and, if necessary, rewashed with sodium chloride solution. The residue is then dissolved in water, neutralized with sodium carbonate or hydroxide and, if necessary, filtered to remove impurities. The new product can be isolated by adding this clear solution with sodium chloride or other similar salts. It is then dried and pulverized.
The work-up can, however, also proceed in such a way that the acidic condensation mass, diluted with plenty of water, is neutralized with calcium carbonate or hydroxide and, after the calcium sulfate has been filtered off, converted into the sodium carbonate with sodium carbonate.
