Description
Process for the preparation of a sulfur-containing compound. Through the main patent no. 132304 in connection with its additional patent, a process has become known by which the sodium salt of ethylhexahydrophenyldithiocarbamic acid can be obtained.
It has now been found that the barium salt of ethylhexahydrophenyldithiocarbamic acid can be obtained if the sodium salt of ethylhexahydrophettyldithiocarbamic acid is reacted with barium salts.
Example: To the solution of 127 parts of hexahydroethyl aniline, 500 parts of water and 85 parts of 48% strength sodium bicarbonate by running in 76 parts of carbon disulfide at temperatures below 100 C A solution of 123 parts of chlorobarium in 400 parts of water is added to sodium ethylhexahydrophenyldithiokarbatninsaur-.
The barium salt of ethylhexahydrophenyldithiocarbamic acid separates out in the form of white flakes. The solubility in water of 50-600 is about 50/0.
