Boiler. The object of the present invention is a boiler composed of an inner tank and an outer tank, fitting into each other, leaving between them a space sufficient for the passage of hot gases and flames. from the home; the wall of at least one of the two tanks being corrugated and the inner tank being removable.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof, and FIG. 2 is a plan view.
The boiler shown comprises two circular tanks 1 and 2 comprising a common hearth, the vertical wall on the hearth side of the tank 1 comprising corrugations 3, intended to increase the heating surface, and to leave a larger space for the passage. hot gases and flames.
The outer tank has at its lower end an orifice 4 provided with a pipe section 4 ', threaded, to which a cold water supply pipe can be attached; at its upper part, another orifice 5, also provided with a threaded pipe 5 ', serving to evacuate the hot water from the tank 1; a removable part 6 is provided with a flat circular part 9; said part 6 resting on a base 7 is provided with an orifice and a pipe 8, serving to evacuate the smoke and gases coming from the hearth; the flat circular part 9 itself serves as a support for the tank 2; this removable part, which significantly reduces the height of the boiler, is very useful because it allows the latter to pass easily through all the doors of current dimensions.
The tank 2 can, for example, be that of a washing machine as shown, comprises a flare 10, coming to bear on the flat circular part 9 of the removable part 6 and can easily be moved; the wall 11 is plain, but it goes without saying that it could be corrugated.
The hearth 12 comprises a grid 13 and a part 14 lined with refractory materials which, increasing the surface area of said hearth, makes it possible to accelerate the heating; refractory materials also constitute a heat reservoir.
The operation of the boiler is as follows: The fuel, wood or charcoal, deposited on the grate 13 and on the refractory materials 14, being ignited, the hot gases and the flames coming from the combustion circulate between the tanks, and thanks to the ripples cause energetic heating, smoke and gases escaping through pipe 8.
It can be seen that, thanks to the present invention, the hot gases and the flames, coming from the hearth, are used simultaneously for heating the two tanks, and thus allow economical use of the fuel.
