  Verfahren zur Darstellung von     1.4-Dioxyanthrachinon-2-caruonsäure.            Gegenstand    vorliegender Erfindung ist  ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von     1.4-Dioxy-          anthrachinon-2-carbonsäure,    die als Zwischen  produkt in der     Farbstoffindustrie    Verwendung  finden kann, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man  2-     (2'-Methoxy-5'-chlor        -4'-carboxylbenzoyl)-          benzoesäure    mit einem ringschliessenden Mittel    behandelt und die sich bildende     1-Methoxy-          4-chloranthrachinon-3-carbonsäure    verseift.  



  Die     Verseifung    geschieht zweckmässig da  durch, dass man mit dem ringschliessenden  Mittel solange weiter erhitzt, bis vollständige  Umwandlung in die     1.4-Dioxyanthrachinon-          2-carbonsäure    stattgefunden hat.
