  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     1-Amino-10-anthrons.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatzpa  tentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines       1-Amino-10-anthrons,    welches dadurch ge  kennzeichnet ist, dass man     2'-Amino-4'-me-          thyl-2-benzylbenzoesäure    mit einem sauren  Kondensationsmittel behandelt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  80 Gewichtsteile     2'-Amino-4'-methyl-2-          benzylbenzoesäiire    werden in 800     Gewichts-          teilen        Schwefelsäure        (96        %)        gelöst        und        eine     Viertelstunde bei<B>50-550</B> erhitzt. Das Re  aktionsprodukt wird in Eiswasser gegossen,  der gelbgrüne     Niedersehlag    abgesaugt und  neutral gewaschen.  



  Das so erhältliche     1-Amino-3-methyl-10-          anthron,    das zur Darstellung von Farbstoffen  verwendet werden soll, kristallisiert aus     Di-          chlorbenzol    in gelbbraunen Nadeln vom  Schmelzpunkt<B>196-1970</B> aus. Es löst sich  hellgelb mit schwacher grüner Fluoreszenz  in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure und gelb in  Natronlauge. Aus seiner alkalischen Lösung  scheidet sich beim Stehen an der Luft oder  auf Zusatz von Wasserstoffsuperoxyd 1-Amino-    3 -     methyl        -anthrachinon    vom Schmelzpunkt  193 0 ab.

Das so erhältliche 1-Amino-3-methyl-10- anthron kristallisiert aus Dichlorbenzol in gelb-braunen Nadeln vom Schmelzpunkt <B>196-1970</B> aus. Es löst sich hellgelb mit schwacher grüner Fluoreszenz in konzen trierter Schwefelsäure und gelb in Natron lauge.
