Process for the separation of a mixture of isomeric pitcher dyes. The subject of this patent is a process for separating a mixture of already known isomeric 1.4.5.8-naphthoylene 4 '. 4 "- dialkoxydibenzimi.dazole,
obtainable by condensation of 1.4.5.8-naphthalenetetracarbo@n.äure or its anhydxide with 2 mol. 4-alkoxy-1. 2-diaminobenzene, as characterized by that mau, the is! Omeren 1. 4. 5.
8-naphthylene @ 4 '. 4 "-, dialkoxydibenzimidazole dissolves in sulfuric acid, by reducing the concentration that an isomer precipitates and separates and the so separated sulfates of the isomers are hydrolyzed. Examples:
1. 10 parts by weight 1. 4. 5. 8 - naphthylene - 4 '. 4 "- dimethoxydibenzimidazole - can be represented by condensation of 1.4.5.8-naphtelin tetracarboxylic acid or its anhydride with 2 moles.
No. 430632 - are dissolved in sulfur columns from 66 B6. Sufficient ice is gradually added to this solution with stirring and simultaneous cooling so that the temperature does not exceed 10 to 15 during the introduction and until: the precipitation of the less soluble red-brown fraction has ended.
The separated sulfate is sucked through stone, glass or asbestos. The suction filter is then broken down with ice, the dye is suctioned off, washed neutral and dried.
It is a powder which, from alkaline hydrosulfite kuppe, dyes cotton red-brown with good fastness properties. The dye precipitated from the sulfuric acid filtrate stains cotton violet-brown with good fastness properties.
2. 100 parts by weight 1.4.5.8-naphthylene - 4 '. 4 "- diethoxydibenzimidazole prepared by condensation of 1.4.5.8-naphthalene tetra-carboxylic acid or its anhydride with 2 mol. 4-ethogy-1.2 -, diaminobenzene according to D. R. P. No. 430632 - are dissolved in sulfuric acid of 66 B6.
With stirring and simultaneous cooling, enough ice is gradually added to this solution so that the temperature does not exceed 10 to 15 during the entry. and until the excretion of the less soluble part has ended. The separated sulfate is sucked off through stone, glass or asbestos.
The filter material is then broken up with ice, the dye is filtered off with suction, washed neutral and dried. It represents a powder which, from alkaline Hydro @ sulfite vat, stains red-brown with good fastness properties.
The dye precipitated from the sulfuric acid filtrate dyes cotton violet brown with good flatness properties.
