La fig. 1 est une vue latérale partielle e n coupe du bras transporteur et du dispositif de saisie du disque dont les organes sont en po sition normale; La fig. 2 est une vue latérale du disposi tif de saisie au moment où il va pénétrer dans l'ouverture centrale du disque supérieur de la pile; La fig. 3 est une vue latérale montrant un disque saisi complètement par le disposi tif de saisie; La fig. 4 est une vue latérale montrant les organes dans la position qu'ils prennent pour libérer le disque;
Une goupille fixe 21 traverse l'ouverture 34 de la cheville coulissante 12 en un point où elle peut venir au contact de la partie incurvée 22 -du ressort 16 proche du crochet 15 sous l'action du déplacement de la che ville coulissante 12. En fonctionnement, pour amener sur le porte-disque le disque supérieur 35 de la pile de disques dont les ouvertures centrales sont sur une même verticale (fig. 2), .on fait pivo- -ter horizontalement le bras 1 et on l'abaisse à la manière habituelle pour faire pénétrer l'ex trémité inférieure de la tige 4 dans l'ouver ture centrale -des :disques supérieurs de la pile;
Device for gripping or holding in place a talking machine disc. The present invention relates to a device for gripping or holding in place a speaking machine disc, having means penetrating into the central opening of the disc. This device is -characterized in that it comprises a hollow member capable of passing through said opening and another member capable of moving relative to the hollowed member and entering with the latter into the central opening of the disc, -this another member being arranged so that, after entering said opening,
it moves the disc relative to the hollow member to hold part of the edge of the opening of the disc inside the recess of the hollow organ.
The device according to the invention is intended mainly for transfer mechanisms, discs for talking machines to magazine - where the discs are brought one after the other and independently of the magazine on the disc holder, but it must be well understood that the device can be used in other cases, for example to hold a disc in position on the disc holder.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment (read device applied to an oscillating conveyor arm intended to bring one by one of the stacked discs into a magazine on the disc holder where they are to be reproduced.
Fig. 1 is a partial side view in section of the conveyor arm and of the disc gripping device, the members of which are in normal position; Fig. 2 is a side view of the gripping device as it enters the central opening of the upper disc of the stack; Fig. 3 is a side view showing a disc fully gripped by the gripping device; Fig. 4 is a side view showing the organs in the position they take to release the disc;
Fig. 5 is a view similar to FIG. 1 showing the manual control device of the input device.
In the drawing (fig. 1 and 5), the arm 1 in the shape of an upturned key U , established in stamped metal, is rigidly mounted to the upper part of a pillar 2 which can itself move vertically. wedging and horizontally in the usual way inside the sleeve 3.
At the free end of the arm 1 is fixed a hollow rod 4 directed downwards and the lower end of which has a diameter such that it can penetrate into the central opening of a disc.
The free end of the arm 1 also carries a stop member 5 in the form of a bell open downwards and surrounds the hollow rod 4; to mount the hollow rod 4 and the stop member 5 on the arm 1, a shoulder 6 is provided on the rod 4 near its upper part, the part of the rod above this shoulder bearing an external thread . This threaded part of the rod 4 passes through an opening 7 in the bottom of the stop-member 5 as well as a similar opening 8 made in the end of the oscillating arm; the rod 4 and the stop-member 5 are fixed by means of a nut 9 on the arm 1.
The rod 4 has in its lower end and on the side facing the pillar 2 a recess 10, the height of which is slightly greater than the thickness of a disc and the upper edge of which is roughly in the plane. of the lower edge 11 of the stopper 5.
An ankle 12 can slide inside the rod 4 and has an opening 13 housed inside: an enlarged part 14 of the upper part of the channel passing through the rod 4, so as to prevent any lowering of the ankle 12.
The rod 4 and the pin 12 have at their lower end the openings 33 and 34 respectively, these openings being in the extension of one another in the vertical plane passing through the axis of the arm 1, in such a way - that the opening 33 of the rod 4 passes through the recess 10 through its middle. The openings 33 and 34 together form a housing for the terminal hook 15 of a stiff metal spring 16 embedded at its other end in the groove 17 formed in the shoulder 6 of the rod 4 where it is fixed by the screw 18.
The width of the hooks 15 is approximately equal to the diameter of the rod 4 and: in its rest or normal position it projects partially relative to the opening 33 on the side of the rod 4 opposite to the recess 10 as we can see proudly. 1. The hook 15 may however be caused to move from the position shown in FIG. 1 to that shown in fig. 2, 4 and 5 where it is housed in the recess 10 of the rod 4 by putting the spring 16 under tension.
A collar 19, the position of which is adjustable along the length of the rod 4 by means of a pressure screw 20, serves as a stop for the spring 16 at a point which conque -of the length of the latter, from how to obtain the desired return force for the spring 1.6.
A fixed pin 21 passes through the opening 34 of the sliding pin 12 at a point where it can come into contact with the curved part 22 of the spring 16 close to the hook 15 under the action of the displacement of the sliding plug 12. In operation, to bring on the disc holder the upper disc 35 of the stack of discs, the central openings of which are on the same vertical (fig. 2), the arm 1 is pivoted horizontally and it is lowered to the usual way to make the lower end of the rod 4 penetrate into the central opening of the upper disks of the stack;
the central peg 36 of the discs, if such a peg is used, is elastically mounted, so as to retract under the action of the peg 12 when the latter descends. When the end of the rod enters the central opening of the upper disc, the hook 15 is forced by its contact with the edge of the opening, to retract into the interior of the openings 33 and 34. , as shown in fig. 2, which puts tension on the spring 16.
However, if the recess 10 in the rod 4 comes in front of the wall of the opening of the upper disc, the tension of the spring 16 pushes the disc to the left d (Fig. 2 inside the upper disc). recess where it is securely held by the hook 15.
It will be noted that the disc arranged under the upper disc cannot slide when the upper disc slides on it, given that the solid end of the rod 4 penetrates into the central opening .de this said.
The upper disc which is now held in the recess 10 by the hook 15 is therefore in contact or almost in contact with the edge 11 of the stop member 5, so that the disc cannot tilt when lifted. the arm 1 to bring the disc by rotating the arm on the disc holder where it must be reproduced.
The arm 1 having arrived in the position for which the disc is above the disc holder, it is lowered in the usual way while the transported disc is released from the rod 4 to be able to come on the disc holder . The release of the -disc is done as follows: When the arm 1 is lowered, the lower end of the pin 12 comes into contact with the upper end of the axis -du disc holder. As the arm 1 continues to descend, the result is a longitudinal thrust of the ankle $ 1 into the rod 4.
Thus, the pin 21 is brought into contact with the curved part 22 of the spring 16, so as to bend the spring and bring the hook 15 back inside the openings 33 and 34, the hook resting at the same time. time against the wall of the central opening -of the -disc to bring it out of the recess 10. As a result, the disc leaves the rod 4 and falls on the disc holder with its central opening capping the axis of the holder -disk; at this time the disc is ready to be played. A device has also been provided making it possible to manually control the release of the disc carried by the rod 4.
For this purpose, use will be made of a lever 23 (fig. 1 and 5) in the form of a flat part, one end 24 of which is in contact with the lower part of the arm 1, while the other end 25 passes through an opening made in the widened part 6 of the rod 4 and enters a recess 26 formed in the upper opening of the. ankle 2. The dimensions of the recess 26 are such that the city plug 12 can perform the movements necessary for the automatic operation .described above without being hampered by the lever 23.
The lever 23 has at one point of its length a button 27 and the part of the lever 23 above the button enters a groove formed along a diameter of a short hollow boss 28 fixed to the lower part of the arm. 1 by a screw 31. A fixed transverse pin 29 passes through the groove of the bos sage 28 as well as an elongated groove 30 formed in the lever 23 to keep the latter in position while allowing a low amplitude oscillation of the lever around. of the pivot formed by the point of contact of the end 24 of the lever with the lower surface of the arm 1.
You can immediately see that by grabbing. 1st arm 1 and by lifting the button 27, the peg 12 is brought up to. inside the rod 4 and moving the hook 15 in the manner described above to release the disc caught in the recess 10.
The hook 15 could be replaced by a ring, in another embodiment.
